I'm not really sure how to find that information. I just know that KF over time takes a considerable amount of memory. It seems to only be an issue with the home page. Memory usage seems to keep going up until Brave flags it. Right now for instance it's eating up 1.8 GB of memory.

Had a similar issue myself, I found closing the chat fixed the memory problem.

The hotkeys on the (non-numpad) numbers are really trigger-happy. I've seen them trigger even as I type in the URL bar (under FF at least), which is extremely annoying since network delays usually mean that you type in a URL and suddenly find yourself on watched threads or the donation page instead. They aren't even bound to particularly useful functions.

I'm being notifed for this thread despite not watching it:

After investigating it a bit, it turns out that what makes this so annoying is that the hotkeys are likely a keyup event that doesn't check for a prior keydown event. So if you enter some URL ending in a number in a way such that you:
- press a number key
- press enter
- release enter
- release the number key,
the site sees the keyup event for the number and redirects you.

so you've been using the site for 5 years and this is now a problem? is this a recent thing? has this been bothering you for 5 years?

I used to have Javascript disabled for most of these years and likely typed fewer URLs that end in numbers.

These are controlled by data-xf-key attributes, you can remove them with a userscript.
JavaScript:
// ==UserScript==
// @name         Remove data-xf-key hotkeys
// @match        https://kiwifarms.st/*
// @match        https://kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion/*
// ==/UserScript==
(function() {
    document.querySelectorAll("[data-xf-key]").forEach(el => el.removeAttribute("data-xf-key"));
})();

The Tartarus verification on clearnet now does not verify at all when I tick the box, just goes straight to "verification failed". I'm just using basic Brave, does the same thing when I turn off Shields, does the same thing on default Chrome. Don't think it's a network issue, mostly because I'm too retarded to set up anything to boost my browser privacy. TOR and Brave Mobile inexplicably work just fine. Running Win10.

Failing for me also on tor on desktop (win11, tor browser and brave tor).

Investigating, templating issue apparently.

The old tartarus page looked better, and the new one doesn't respect dark mode. Even DarkReader for FireFox didn't turn the page dark.

Not a huge deal, but in times it takes a while, a slightly prettier page would be nice. I would settle for just dark mode tho
