Lost interest in YGOTAS around the start of the virtual world filler. At that point I remember thinking it couldn't get any less funny, did it?

Oh he stopped caring way before that. But he doesn't have much going for him and if he doesn't finish the damn thing, he'll never hear the end of it.
 
I used to watch this when I was like 5. I can't believe this shit is still not finished. Just hurry up and complete it already. Rome was built in half the tine it's taken these people to put out a meme edit.
 
IDK, it was better than anything in the Oricalchos arc at least. Bits of it almost reminded me of an older episode,

In an unrelated note, I think it's funny any time you see Nowacking now she's either not wearing a shirt or wearing one that's sleeveless. Because that's apparently the ultimate sign of being a man to her - exposing your arms.

It's funny, she used to dress more like a regular dude as a lesbian.

Also when did the Atlantis arc end? Last one i saw was the Raphael curbstomp on Yugi. He took so fucking long I just fucked off and never bothered checking again.

Two episodes ago.

There was a whole thing about making fun of the US military being useless, Kaiba being a hypocrite, and Dartz doing a whole thing about breaking down Yami over how he treats everyone like shit in the parody. He also summoned Yaoi and Yuri to create Hentai and Yami plays the Thiefshipping card to declare that it's canon that Marik and Bakura are gay lovers. Before that, Rex and Weevil get voices closer to canon thanks to the power of the Orichalcos just so Rex can complain about how nobody likes that they're just references.

Yami wins the final fight of the season by being confused by Dartz's stupid-ass accent. Dartz's post-defeat self has a normal voice, but it doesn't matter because once they bring up the Orichalcos, he starts rambling and sounding like his stupid self again, so maybe this was all even more pointless.

The last episode before this one involved them spending a lot of time stuck in a stupid duel and Joey being insulted repeatedly and not getting it because he's a retard I guess.

Man, anyone remembers when Yami dueled Panik and there were more jokes than card game, or when Yugi didn't duel Mako because he was offended by getting a harpoon thrown at him? What happened to those days?

Abridged shows pretty much died with Western animation, roughly for the same reasons. Rather than just have jokes while following a story the abridged writers love, it became a cynical affair of people who hate a show, wholesale steal from it and then try to pretend why they are better than it.
There are no longer any jokes because that's not politically correct, there are either "OG" character gags or ridiculous overscripted unfunny sequences that outstay their welcome.
finally there is overdependence on "lore" that's far weaker than the original script and mainly exist for the writers fetishes/biases.

the death knell of any Abridged is starting to have musical numbers. And the new YGO episode started with one.
