Oh yeah. All of the good jokes were jokes the fandom had been making for years if not decades.

They routinely point this out in the commentaries. It’s just a lot of people that watched in the later years never saw stuff like the Rock the Dragon dub, the movies, OG Dragon Ball, the other dubs of all the shows and all the jokes that resulted. They mention this too. Seeing the comments on the video change from getting the joke and reference to thinking it was completely original.

Problem is Kaiser huffed his own farts too much.

Just started watching that. Yeah, Piccolo would have been a better fit. They're doing something like Red Letter Media's Half in the Bag where they record themselves watching the episodes, then later talk about it and occasionally refer to their live reactions, which are cut in to illustrate points.

And because Kaiser's a weeb, they're watching the Japanese version, because he "Wants to give this a real chance" and apparently if they watch the dubbed version they'll automatically hate it.

I skipped the two minute long skit they did for a commercial if you want to see. (2:09)

The "best" bit is them refusing to add things in that would honestly improve the show cuz they weren't in the original for example the whole "Everyone putting their all into helping Gohan vs Cell" with all of them firing off beams at his back, it was a whole lot narritively better than standing around waiting for Vegeta to do something but nope can't have that not in my japanese version

Pet theory - everyone that isn't Kaiser wants to move on, but DBZA (and more importantly, selling merch with Toei's biggest IP without their permission) has them all more or less blacklisted from their dream of being Anime VA's.

That and I can only imagine that for how much of a sped Kaiser is online, he's likely worse to deal with in person.

Wasnt like a chick from their group managed to get a gig at some dubbing place, after she moved..ooo..what was it...LA or Chicago? Cause, I remember that and how Kaiser was rather bitter about it, even going "jokingly" "Oh, I thought shed become a barista at a Starbucks"

An yes, hes a huge tosser online if one goes by his tweets or him crying about his daddy issues almost all the times.

Isn't their entire series is based on the dub, including localisation changes? DBZ Japanese dub always sounded iffy for me due to Goku's female VA.
 
Kaiser's always been insufferable. I couldn't believe it when I found out he was editing/reanimating the whole thing by himself. Just a fucking control freak that no one on the team wanted to confront.

Do you think he beats Lani when the cameras are off?
