It's a fucking pain in the ass and especially because almost every other game has at least one of the "goodshotm8" bots.
I've even run into servers where there were only bots, they're programmed not to shoot other bots so they just spam good shot.
My guess is all real players kept leaving the server leaving only bots who never leave because no one kicks them, and because they dont cap (it was banana bay) they stay there forever. It's almost kinda what purgatory would look like really
 
honestly i haven't had too many issues with bots. i play on us servers, i'll only get a bot every 4-5 matches, and they're usually kicked pretty quick anyways. i'm assuming it's a bigger issue on eu servers.
 
Pretty cool that the hackers are mostly in the European servers. That means that [Valve]Niggerkiller could be living near me, I might even KNOW him :o
 
ive been getting hacker snipers who get pocketed by bot medics wholl spam 'im not afk wtf' in chat when they get votekicked
i dont even know what the fucking point of it all is
 
Personally I stopped playing right around when the Heavy Christian bots began appearing. I now play on and off but I remember going on any server Valve or community and sometimes there would be a bot that played Heavy and would micspam a biblical passage. Some passages were plain ole Bible text some were very fundamentalist. Good times.

I wish I encountered bots like that, sounds a lot more interesting than the swarms of bot snipers.

I still play every now and then, TF2 was my go to all through high school so theres no way im putting it down any time soon. The public servers run by valve usually arent bad and its always fun to flex on zoomers.
 
Just tonight I had my first encounter with the famous "[VALVE]NiggerKiller".

This message and something else with the username was spammed in the chat, either pushing up the other messages or deleting them, until the user was (quickly, thankfully) banned.
 
I bought 4 tour of duty tickets and didn't even get 1 ticket's worth in the end, I've fallen for it
 
Team Fortress 2 died after they introduced matchmaking which resulted in community servers dying.

I miss the good old days of 32 man servers, custom maps, the large amounts of groups/clans, and the Quake announcer.

When did they add matchmaking? Haven't played since late 2015 (lmao it feels like 2 years ago), and I still remember the modded MvM servers and the Freak Fortress Servers.
 
I did play it for a while, but I soon got tired of it. Probably the same for you, your Mum, your Dad, Null and his Diabeetus Fetish, Moot's elite dance moves, Conrad Slater's cement factory, and even...
