Fixed spread is just a crutch for bad players to cry about when their shotgun randomly does 35 instead of 37 damage.
and this shit is why a strawpoll is paramount so fights about what settings are there don't get started

The player name hider works well but has a flaw where players on the server can see the name change prompt in chat, I'll fix that soon-ish, so I would still take precautions for the moment.
join messages still leave the original name in, you might have to disable them if there's no way to tweak them up.

Alts should be encouraged. Even if you set your profile to private all the trading sites will still store everything about you that has ever publicly been shown. Also I'm pretty sure everyone has used the same Steam account for 15 years and has added people they know IRL.

Maybe that plugin for equipping weapons can be added so its possible to use different loud outs for new accounts without grinding/paying for all the weapons.
If there's any maps that shouldn't be here or should be excluded, let me know.
You can sort this by date added to see all the new slop. I don't think I've seen praise for anything after 2017 except pier. The Halloween maps might be good though.
 
Alright I've removed the password from the server as I think it's ready enough to get some early feedback, I'll write up a thread tomorrow.

There is no server IP that I can provide since Steam Datagram Relay IPs will rotate the moment the server has a connection hiccup or is restarted, so you can find the server on the browser or using the tags: kiwi, farms, fortress

Applejack and Atom Smash are pretty good, although CTF needs round timers so it doesn't last forever.
Hadal is good in theory but the respawn times on RED kill it. Perhaps adjusting the spawn times with a plugin could fix it.

Maybe just keep the rotation and let us try all the new maps and see which ones are shit and should be removed. I admittedly haven't played most of these maps that much, some of them only 1 round. But they seem to be below average quality as they have no QC from Valve.

I don't know about CTF timers though, usually when people vote for CTF or PLR it's because they want to just frag without an objective. And RTV is in so it's not like we're forced to play through a 2fort stalemate.
 
I don't think there's a plugin to anonymize player names, I'll have a look.

Worse case scenario you can show up on an alt, either way SDR will be hiding your IP address anyways, meaning that both the server and clients don't know their true IP addresses.

second e: server back everything back to normal

e; holy this rebalance throws the word balance thro the window, the unholy trinity on pyro is back, scouts are back to sniping players, engies can shut down ubers by just existing, snipers can tank headshots and backstabs now, demos fuck everything up with the LnL and if there's more bring them up, fixed spread changes nothing when all of this shit is happening at once

I just think fixed spray should be disabled. It buffs shotguns too much and I dislike it as someone who uses shotguns constantly. Also it breaks the panic attack random spread mechanics and pistols and SMGs being inaccurate by design. Having the game be wacky and not perfectly balanced is fun but I don't think fixed spray is that, it makes the game feel more like CSGO.

as again, as soon the new thread gets made the first strawpoll from our honorary tf2 server janny will be about random spread, what happens after that happens

the scream fortress event is on. all halloween cosmetics and maps are enabled.

but it looks like the contracts and new maps are not here yet. probably getting ready to be updated a little later.
