Surprisingly right before the mode got rage removed again, I was able to play it with 15 players on distillery, it's actually super fun but it has fan-made voice lines for the mercs/Hale and they're fucking awful, alongside Hale's controls being pretty shitty, then again I only got to play him once. It plays a little different from SourceMod VHS but everyone can climb with melee which makes it solid by default, have to play a bit more to comment on it. I'll miss all the autism hales though, especially Christian Brutal Sniper.

The solution is obvious: gut the fucking casual system and bring back quickplay. There was literally nothing wrong with it and it was superior in literally every way.

God i hated the casual queue when they brought it in for meet your match, removing the ability to auto balance or even swap the teams if they were unbalanced was a god send for pub stomps.

I wish they'd just revert it back, no one plays comp and if they do its either through comp leagues or getting picked up in quick play (how i played comp)
 
whenever it works, I enjoy playing the new VSH, even though I think the voice actings fucking awful. I can only Hope that valve will remaster it (they won’t)
Most of the other maps are quite bad, if not downright awfully designed. Venice was made by someone with around 400 hours if I remember right, and it shows. It looks like everything in that map was upscaled twice.
call me a queer for going against the artstyle but I like the almost mirrors edge artstyle that Reckoner the new CP map has. The other ones that diverge away can get removed though. Phoenix feels too much like overwatch to me for some reason and two or more windows had fucking missing textures.
Rotunda has an interesting gimmick but the floor textures don’t work so I haven’t played enough of it to care.
But hey, atleast the war paints this update aren’t outright malignant.

Dashie never hosted bots lol, closest he would do is multi-box (run sandboxed steam and TF2 on the same PC for Medic-Bots, barely as OP and nowhere near as consistent or accurate as Linux cat-bots with dedicated hosting and a server-panel.) Once again TF2 redditors prove they do zero research on anything and collectively rub brain-cells together for muh ad revenue.

If you want a quick-overview on this pedo I did two "write-ups" on him while his case was developing, TL;DR, he's been cheating in this game nonstop since 2013, grooms kids, had over 5 Discord accounts deleted for sharing CP (getting banned on Discord is an accomplishment of the highest degree of degeneracy, but 5 fucking times???) and is majority hated even in the community of cheaters, where some of the most depraved power-tripping wheelchair virgins reside.

Recently, Jerma finally returned to TF2 after almost 6 years from the last time he streamed it, I could go on about the stream (and how much Star was an annoying tranoid grifting faggot retard) but many people think Jerma hasn't picked up TF2 again in so long because he has better things to do, needs to grift for his next doll house type stream, or just isn't interested anymore.

While I can tell you two of those are correct (probably the last too), Jerma has mentioned multiple times throughout the years on how much this game means to him and how much he'd loved to play it again, but never explains WHY he can't. Well folks, this is all because of Dashie being the neurodivergent faggot he is.

During that stream, Dashie was constantly getting into Jerma's game and abusing a newly-found exploit only possible with cheats, it let's you do a number of things including instantly capping control points, instantly de-cloaking, instantly respawning HP/Ammo packs, becoming basically invincible to bullet weapons, and tons of other crazy shit while also having the run of the mill cheats (aimbot, walls etc.)

After Dashie wasn't getting the required amount of attention he needed, he started DDOSing every server Jerma started joining like Star's stream. Jerma had to cut the stream short, and has not touched it once ever since. The faggot even gladfully uploaded a clip of his favorite moment from the stream before Jerma realized he was being chased around by some terminally online freak the whole stream.


TL;DR: Jerma hasn't streamed TF2 in over 6 years because Dashie raped every server Jerma got in with cheats then started outright DDOSing every server he got in, this applied with the trannery of Jerma's chat always telling him reddit news about TF2 like the SOURCE CODE LEAK THAT ALMOST KILLED TF2!!!!!111 and that is a recipe to never want to play this game again.

ten years ago the whole server, even valve servers, were just dudes chatting.
nowadays I utter one word over the mic and at best it's dead silence or at worst it's an insta votekick; are zoomies just antisocial?

It's online games as a whole, really. Everyone is sequestered into their own little discord servers, using text and voice there.

The worst part is nobody knows how to work a fucking mute button. You can't just mute someone you don't like or who's micspamming. No, you have to remove them from the server instead of pressing the button right next to the votekick button.

Man i dont know i've had some cracking VCs lately, maybe because the Aus community is smaller overall and people tend to recoginise each other in casual. I've even made some new friends just doing calls and shit, people tend to be less shy when others talk. You still get the fucking mic spam spastics but they are fewer and far between.
