what's the fucking point of making a "TF2 as it used to be" clone if you're going to strip the good shit out of the game and keep ass-backward retarded decisions.

the only people who want to play Goldrush are people who've been TF2 fans for years; Why the fuck would they implement achievement unlocks??? 90% of the playerbase already HAS those achievements.

This sounds like troonshine fueled redditslop that is being intentionally fucked with so that NuTF2 youtubers can go "SEE, THIS GAME WASN'T GOOD IN 2010, IT'S JUST ROSE TINTED NOSTALGIASLOP GOGGLEMAXXING" or whatever the fuck they say.

The lack of auto reload is so baffling, how do these autists subhuman retards even come up with the idea of removing such a harmless QoL feature? I just wanna play tf2 ffs :cryblood:

Auto-reload is for sweaty minmaxing tryhards who need their gun constantly in their face to get that tiny advantage in a 20 year old game. Real men press the R key and finger their shotguns at their own time in a display of dominance

e: the minimized viewmodels do work but i'll have to make a different post over it and not home right now
the reason i hadn't realized they functioned was mostly centered over the fact that the differences are not that noticeable to begin with, example with the rocket launcher


on a related note i had a bit of an idea, this mod sold itself as it being true to the artstyle of this game and everything else, thus with these four clips i simply i ask for a comparision and which amongst these four is the "truest" to the artstyle

I don’t have it on but I also don’t see a reason to exclude it. Gold Rush devs have the same bitch mentality of competitive players where anything that doesn’t align with their narrow, revisionist view of TF2 doesn’t belong in the game whatsoever, except they have the audacity to pretend that they’re producing a purist experience.

I'm MATI at the achievements thing and my power level is I've spent over an hour today messing around with achievement maps and my own custom one from hammer++. They need to make a big compromise on the milestones or something because many achievements involve either doing something an awful lot or some very specific task you can't do with bots.

Will this even work? I know normal TF2 has a lot of parameters to stop bots from counting for anything, so unless Goldrush devs disabled that kind of feature, I think it'd still break here, no?

Using itemtest bots, not the tf_add_bot command, works and counts for most things.

incredibly useful, and thanks to this i can test the weapons in-game (and no these faggots did not put itemtest in the maps folder, you've got to get it for yourself), and i've got a question

WHY THE FUCK DOES THE CABER DEAL 124-126 MAX DAMAGE
  1. you can't delay banner usage even if you hold down mouse1
  2. dh damage increase DOES affect the amount of self-damage you take
  3. the equalizer uses the escape plan model because fuck you (am wrong, see edit)
  4. as written before, the wrangler doesn't have a shield but the sentry recovers faster when you lose control of it
  5. dead ringer is the iteration that behaves like the old dead ringer but can't pick ammo from boxes

e: my ass do be tarded and i've casually outed myself as a filthy 2013-fag that doesn't understand the difference between a model and a texture, but rest still applies
