Again, I don't believe that any of those TF2 mods have a future, but it's shocking to see how willing these people are to chuck years' worth of their own effort in the trash can for the sake of identity politics/virtue signaling.

First @Lone Lawman's server, then artic.tf, and now Moon's Pub. This verified shit is killing all the good servers that most players, including myself, actually play on and want to return to on a regular basis.

Also, SouthernNinja released a video on the issue summarizing not only the gripes with verified servers but also how dumb it is for many players to ask for a matchmaker in TF2C and other TF2 mods.

The tards that un-ironically think that match making would be good for any tf2 mod are the reason nothing happens and our game is treated this poorly. These are the same people that shill out money on keys for the bi-annual case that's filled with Reddit and pop culture references. Actually horrifying.

At this point I am fairly certain it's a ploy to push out hosters and have ONLY vaultf4 be the popular servers so they can control and hold hostage any player that plays the mod.
 
I know it's popular to hate on Koth_demolition but I actually like the map because when I played it in casual I never got any friendlies on my team and the games were always neck and neck. It's a brainless pushing map and playing airstrike soldier on the map is really fun. The only thing holding it back is the casual rule set, if it was 45 minute map timers and it would easily be an A tier experience.

I'll also shove my other summer 2025 unpopular take. I FUCKING HATE BOARDWALK SO MUCH. The scream fortress version of the map isn't good, the meat factory version that was in Castaway's nominate list wasn't good, and this version isn't good. Half of the time I queued in the summer update and got this map, subhuman redditors on my team would just sit looking at the stupid mirrors.

Ironically, despite "nostalgia" being cited as a reason for the desire to return to Quickplay, the pro-casual tards are usually post-MyM players. They only like casual because it's the first thing they were exposed to when playing TF2.

Agreed KOTH_Slaughter just isn’t a good map. Too cramped. Has egregious sniper sightlines in spots where the Sniper is at no risk of being consistently flanked. One engineer can shut down the whole match by setting up a nest in one of the cubbies next to spawn. The flank routes are basically useless, they all just bring you slightly behind the point. Not where you can actually disrupt the backliners.

The meat grinder environmental kills are so small, they might as well not be there. There’s these giant rooms outside spawn that would be great to fight in. But they’re outside spawn, so they never get used.

The map can be fun. It just relies on there never being a sniper, engineer or medic on either team. So never. The only mildly good thing about the map is the setting. And it’s why I think people glaze it so hard.

You'd think these niggers would learn from these failed gaming companies and from lolcows like Liz fong Jones, DSP, IDubbbz, and so on that when you act like a misery golem, that just pushes people away from you and you end up alone. You have no control over how other people live their lives/vote.

They spent multiple years of their life making this shit and It's much easier for everyone to not play their mod out of spite.

I think I said this before about this topic but them trying to frame the whole "anti verification" crowd as a bunch of heccin transphobes is just wrong. It's not that people hate the verification system because you can't say faggot or nigger or tranny, it's because you're trying to enforce some bullshit on servers that server hosters don't really have to enforce.

No matter what argument against the verification system people come up with, these fucking autistic basement dwelling faggots just turn it back around into "well you're just a chud". It's like arguing with a brick wall that identifies as drywall.

I said this in a prior post, I'll say it again. HypnOS, I bet you read these threads. Read me loud and clear bud; Moderating your server is not, I repeat, not basic server etiquette. Server hosts can run their servers however they want. Your little verification system is just trying to enforce some sense of gay-ass conformity where people can be permanently banned over one little thing and that's not cool.
