https://youtube.com/watch?v=1LSVuLX-c74Vorobey after like 4 months uploaded a new giving a autistic in depth breakdown on Venusian Rapper
Link Vorobey provided for a mirror if it goes down but you guys should be download videos like this anyway
This guy reminds me of just about every other person I've come into contact with that tries modern day trolling that's the equivalent of "throw everything until it sticks." The fact that this guy had nothing better to do but toss words around and get mad at everyone around him, and was an absolute shitstain of a person tells me all these types of people are the same. No one loves them because they're unlovable and people who do are doing it conditionally and most likely wish they didn't have to.

I didn't think it was going to get as bad as it did until the "Jane Doe" came into the picture and it's just fucking maddening that someone like him exists. He's the type of person who makes words like pedo have no meaning and he's also the type of person who shouldn't be around anyone anymore, especially now that he's about to be a father. I feel more sorry for the fate of the baby than anyone, but that doesn't mean I don't pity the TF2 players who have been explicitly targeted by him nor the people he's hurt.

I don't think it warrants its own thread, but the competitive TF2 scene has also had some interesting moments, like:

1. A few top-level players, Nursey and broKing, were banned from the game's leagues after grooming allegations against them were made public roughly four years ago. Nursey continues to complain about this to this day.
2. ThatGuyTagg, a high-level player and gay, black furry, had a public meltdown on stream and ragequit the scene because his friends jokingly called him the N word.
3. Lange, a former player, caster responsible for arguably TF2's most well-known competitive highlight, creator of the Tip of The Hats charity streams, and creator of TF2's training server mod called MGE, suffered some kind of schizophrenic breakdown years ago that appears to still be going on.
4. A player named TLR stole a plastic LAN competition trophy from the winners' hotel room.
5. Top player b4nny was invited to Valve headquarters to assist them in creating an in-game competitive mode, which turned into a massive pile of trash that nobody plays.
6. Ex-TF2 player turned now-ex-pro Overwatch player clockwork stole b4nny's girlfriend while the two were on the same team, and b4nny was so invested in winning that he refused to cut the man that literally cucked him in front of everyone.
7. After VAC finally picked up on LMAObox, a pack of cheats that had been undetected for close to a decade, players from every single winning highlander team over the previous three years had been immediately VAC banned.
8. Valve's foray into working with the community on an official update predictably turned into a shitshow.
9. Ex-TF2 player turned current(?) pro Overwatch streamer/player Harbleu was(?) an unironic Pokemon furry whose Steam chat pokemon e-rp logs were leaked in pastebins, and his trans "girlfriend" m4risa posted video of them masturbating on the porn site "motherless" for a bunch of teenagers to see. This is highly esoteric lore, but there are people that will back this up.

These are just off the top of my head. It's an insular and niche community full of literal autists and children; it reminds me of the Blockland forums.
You left out a really popular item-purchasing website's head dev was caught grooming. The site still works but it fell off in popularity so much that development on it stopped & rivals found a niche to compete.

I really enjoyed this expose. I used to play TF2 a lot back in the day and it threw me through a loop to see that not only are there so many people still playing it, they're taking it super seriously.

They don't seem to be enjoying themselves, when that BBW ex-girlfriend of Venusian was talking to Vorobey and she said that he would scream, smash objects and sperg out from playing TF2... Venusian wasn't playing competitive TF2 or lobbies. He's just getting tilted from playing 24/7 Hightower Deathmatch servers with people who just finished work on a friday night and are ripping bongs just relaxing. It's mental.

Venus seems like an obvious faggot but the first 5 minutes of this video made me just a little MATI.

No, TF2 didn't "become" a place where people say tranny, nigger, faggot, etc. It was always that way, just like all of the Internet pre-2013. They didn't get more TAWKSIC, you just became a fucking pussy.
I recently loaded up TF2 again for the first time in about 8 years. for shits and giggles, and almost every server I connected to was basically indistinguishable from a MW2 lobby circa 2009. One dude blasting shitty rap music, everyone calling him a nigger, it was great.

Valve doesnt even touch cs:go outside of adding community maps and skins lmfao
The last time they majorly touched the game they added the r8 and changed the ak spray pattern (one almost killed the game and the other was fairly unpopular) and the warzone clone that is 100% dead
The community says there's way less cheaters in Valve's Prime matchmaking, they added Ancient and reworked Vertigo to the competitive map pool and they balance weapons, even slightly, all the time. Most recently they drastically changed AWP's clip size from 10 to 5, something that hadn't been changed since original CS. Valve does way more to CS:GO than you think.
3. Lange, a former player, caster responsible for arguably TF2's most well-known competitive highlight, creator of the Tip of The Hats charity streams, and creator of TF2's training server mod called MGE, suffered some kind of schizophrenic breakdown years ago that appears to still be going on.
Lange has a thread here, but it hasn't been active for a while. A friend of his (Whisker, who I think developed BudHud?) confirmed that he's safe on TF.TV back in 2020 shortly after he had that major breakdown. He was back developing stuff actively for a bit last year and has done stuff for NodeCG as recently as January this year, although his Github activity is currently private and has a grim and blurry B&W scenery as its avatar instead of a headshot of him with a wide smile that it used to be. He also doesn't seem to be part of the organizations he had on that profile anymore.
He started posting music on YouTube midway 2022. I didn't check everything thoroughly, and having a schizo meltdown surely does not give him a good rep, but I'd guess that the Twitch VOD you posted may be just a cryptic music/art project similar to his YT channel in tone. Then again, he doesn't reveal much and has no social media presence like he used to to be able to analyze what kind of headspace he's in, unless you want to make sense out of poetry scattered around the YT channel and that VOD. Also note that he used that channel when he was committing stuff normally on Github.
Needless to say, he's far gone from the TF2 community.

I still find myself going back to it because there's really no better option for online FPS. The genre has stagnated for over a decade both visually & in terms of gameplay. It takes a unique breed of sperg to actually get mad at this game.

I will never understand how TF2, a fun game with its own level of insanity, can attract and breed people weirder than porn sprayers or mic spammers.

I just wanna !rtd !rtv sv_alltalk 1 ctf_2fort 24/7 for God's sake.

I don't think it warrants its own thread, but the competitive TF2 scene has also had some interesting moments, like:
A few more things that came to mind:

10. A player that made some popular YouTube videos allegedly died of a terminal illness, and the community got Valve to memorialize his name in the description of his signature weapon. He then returned, said that it was a joke, and Valve removed the weapon's reference to him. This was actually covered by a few minor publications. I've heard rumors that he's since become a V-Tuber, but I don't know if that's true or not.
11. It became common knowledge at some point that this person, a furry, had literally fucked a dog.
12. The scene experienced a micro #MeToo-esque movement, only this time for being called mean things in-game by teenagers instead of being raped by Hollywood executives, back in 2018.
13. A player was banned from the UGC league for printing out a picture of a player's kids, cum tributing it, and posting it to the forums. I can't find any mention of this anywhere on the Internet anymore, but it did happen.
14. Top sniper Axiomatic uploaded a video of himself crying after his team got second(?) in a season of highlander.

I'm sure this guy is a piece of shit or whatever, but the video whining about muh twansphobia right out of the gate made me hate the fag who made it too much to watch the rest.

People who take vidya seriously are retards, people who take tf2 seriously are giga retards, but to take fucking hightower seriously you must be a cosmic retard. Imagine throwing a chair around because some trolldier killed you in tf2's equivalent of VRchat.

Porn sprays were lame unless you used them to backstab people. The real gold was trolling sprays that visibly made people upset.

I can remember the picture and caption I used to use. It was safe for work, but the mental image was horrifying. 10/10 would spray again in a pub.

This is my favorite sort of bullshit. A creepy weirdo getting his shit called out by someone, followed by the accuser self-immolating because his creepy weird shit gets eyes on it.

>gee I wonder what he did to create a mental image from a sfw pic ...
>sees pfp and handle
>it's this fucker again
Son of a bitch

I know he might not have supported keffals and the pedos who tried to illegally and dishonestly silence us forever and might just be a "uh yeah don't call trans peoples niggers or whatever I guess" type that just doesn't look into it and just doesn't want to be mean, but I couldn't help wanting to just turn throughout the video because of bs like that and the feeling that he'd gladly dance on our corpse in vile company like that.
