for what i've gathered the subsequent happened in the feedback channelyeah meltdown is over. far as I can tell, staff wanted a certain fast moving discussion that I can't be fucked to identify to migrate to #general and some of the retards in chat took that as censorship, and thus, tard rage ensued.
okay this shit is tarded and i got hyped up for nothingBig-ass image in spoiler:
The bad weapon bracket video is particularly egregious because it adds fucking nothing to the conversation. I feel like I’ve seen a million discussions about “what are the worst weapons in tf2”?, and they all come to the exact same conclusions, which is that the weapons suck and they aren’t worth using outside of very specific scenarios you’ll almost never encounter in game.

i can answer that part since i heard it from the horse himselfHis messages in #feedback were critical of the game, so it's very possible this is true and he was indeed banned. It also seems like he may have played a large part in #feedback being locked down, though I haven't fully confirmed this yet. Literally 1984.
Here an archived version of the paper for posterity. Some autist in the discord just named "Pyro" made this autistic essay and left his real name in (though he claims he's going to edit it out).

you know sometimes I just think people take this game a little too seriously
Yet their store page description states, verbatim, “You can think of Gold Rush as a purist effort to preserve an earlier vision of TF2”. A 1 to 1 experience is all that people were asking for, not a mod that skinwalks 2010 with built-in 6s banlists and rebalancing.
It’s remarkable that the only bit of valuable information around that Cow Mangler video is a comment mentioning how it has a slight launch deviation. I never realized why I like the feel of jumping with it better than anything but the Direct Hit until I’d read that, and yet this obscure bit of trivia isn’t even in the video itself. What is the point of these types of videos?
Money. People still watch these videos everytime because the community is so starved for content. Money is also why these videos are conveniently over 15-30 minutes long when they should be 2-5 minutes. Gotta get that sweet ad revenue. What is the point of these types of videos? How are they still pumping out video essays on topics that have been discussed to death ad nauseam for years? It's not even like they're demanding changes or anything, it's just the same nauseating autistic rambling over and over. What else is there left to say about this game other than it's fucking broken?
Most of the online "community" around tf2 twitter, discord, reddit don't actually play the game so why would they want to hear about bots in casual?Holy shit.
I think there might actually be something shady going on with this toxic positivity thing, the r/tf2 jannies prohibited talking about the recent comeback of bots as a way to "not give them attention"(LOL) and "not clog the subreddit"(because the 6 million wholesome clips of someone using the thanks voiceline and killbinding are a better use of the forum)

I recently decided to do a little experiment where I imagined myself someone who never played TF2 trying to check out the game before I play it, leading me to the realization that TF2's image is extremely sanitized to the outsiders.
At first I thought it was just because the only person who actually criticizes the game is Zesty - the shunned bigot hitler, but reading this post I'm seriously starting to suspect there's actually some secret cabal out there trying to make TF2 look healthy, with money definitely involved.
This also reminds me of that time when they banned the discussion of zesty's "you will not play" video.
What do you think?
That's definitely the case. Worksloppers make A LOT of money and especially the ones at the top. They will protect their income through shady means even if it's slandering people or having backdoor deals. That's partly why Zesty is so slandered for example. From what I've heard new workshop creators are basically funelled into specific discord servers and being bossed around by the big fish. If you don't have good relations with them your chances of getting anything in the game are slim.At first I thought it was just because the only person who actually criticizes the game is Zesty - the shunned bigot hitler, but reading this post I'm seriously starting to suspect there's actually some secret cabal out there trying to make TF2 look healthy, with money definitely involved.
