Did 20k people seriously pay to attend a last-minute ThotCon hosted by a basic bitch who can't even manage her own public image?
I really wish it was called ThotCon. Honestly she probably would have looked better, she was already handing out condoms. I know what people do at these cons but usually the convention tries to look a little bit more classy like "Do what you want on your own time but it's not our business". Tana was just like "Yeah whatever, this is every day at thot con!"

Pewdiepie has made a video about it.
Ooooooooh sweet jesus, this is a shit show and a half.
He includes some things of what tana envisioned, fan reactions (peopel chanting "refund"), and correctly compares it to Dashcon

Edit:Also Tana pretty much pulled a bender.

Who the fuck is this bitch, anyways?
I don't know if you're asking earnestly, but she has another thread in the beauty parlor forums. Or you would watch the video idubbbz made about her before the con drama if you want a summary.

Shane is spilling some tea. In the live stream he said that he doesn't think that there were 20k people. He said that the hotel's capacity was 3k people. There were 5k people with tickets so half of the people got scammed, even if people with no tickets showed up. He also said that there was legit nothing in this hotel, just a hallway and there weren't even that many people inside.

I like Shane, but he needs to stop trying to defend Tana and making excuses for her when this is basically all her fault for scamming fans and wasting a lot of their money for a petty last minute con organized within a limited amount of time. Also, it honestly does seem like there was less than 15-20k people who attended, which is funny because that just goes to show even though the con was a total failure, Tana is still trying to hype it up to make it seem bigger than what it really was. She even compared the amount of people who showed up to the amount at Vidcon, as if it was something to brag about.

I'm happy for James disowning this mess.

Somewhat unrelated to the tea with Shane and James, but wasn't there also a couple who got engaged at the con? I'd be super ashamed to admit that in public. lol

It's as James said. Tana wanted to have a petty party to spite vidcon. However, instead of her just bringing herself down, she had people who spent a ton of money for her "REAL kool kids kon!" dragged down with her.

What's interesting in the video of Shane's livestream, around the 16 minute mark he was asked if Vidcon tried sabotaging Tanacon. He disputed the claim, stating that staff actually tried helping and called/messaged him. Vidcon staff wanted to ensure the safety of both attendees AND Tana. However, they didn't want to make a public statement to avoid looking petty which is ironic. Now, what makes this interesting is that Tana claimed in one of her videos or livestreams that Vidcon staff was kicking out anybody with Tanacon wristband pass and going as far as snipping off their Vidcon wristband pass. So what is the truth?
Someone here has to be lying and given Tana's history it's not too hard to see which one is.

This just sounds like the most amazing train wreck imaginable.
It is a worthy successor to Dashcon. While that trainwreck had a ballpit, all this had was some Youtuber who more or less is known for an incident where another Youtuber told her "say nigger".

I thought the Shane livestream was very informative if not pointing to large ~conspiracy~ elements of this.

I just finished watching the Jenna and Julien podcast summation and they did a great job summing up the entire experience including interviewing someone who was present at
Tanacon.

Some highlights:
There were no restrooms available during the 5+ hour waits.
People who came at 6 am didn’t even start to get in until about 8:50am. Which was late for even their first time.
The interviewed girl had a backpack and wasn’t actually patted down and it wasn’t clear if there were metal detectors so it was an insanely dangerous situation.
Part of VIP was being able to fast pass into one panel of your choice and people at one point were basically saying I’m VIP I have fast pass for random people in an attempt to get in.

And more.

This video seems to confirm what the interviewed girl said on j&j that there was some random table with badges.

These dudes were getting in with Vidcon badges and there’s part of the video you can see boxes and boxes of passes just out in the open being rifled through.

Another one:

Also, Internet Historian will be doing a video on it, so look forward to that:

Note:Part One sets up the scenerio but is largely clickbaity because the meat doesn’t come to part 2 and 3.
Part Two of Shane’s series on Tanacon. Today he posted his talk with Michael Weist (CEO and management who put on Tanacon under the company Good Times.)
Edit: and here is part 3
The beginning clips paint Tana miserably as she is seen saying how it would make the fans happy if they felt oppressed and had to stand out in the rain for the experience. The full clip is later in.
There’s... a lot to unpack and I’m not sure I can do it justice / watching the video is more succinct.

It’s been confirmed by the police department that the total number of people was around 5 thousand and not 20,000.

Shane left in a bit of Morgan stating her opinion. Then Morgan made this video to clear things up. The best point Morgan made was that there is an obsession with these YT or social media people with views and numbers. Tana was obviously focusing on the numbers more than safety of creators and guests.
