SU is an actual enigma of storytelling. We all got drawn in watching what seemed to be just shitposts made in crude MS paint and with robotic TTS voices, but every single one of us quickly grew to genuinely love the characters, the story arcs, and the insane yet homely world they lived in. This strange Americana-like world where mundane stories about going to the fucking Dollar store or the school dance got mixed up with anime fights, constant racism and sexism, fart attacks, and a morality system based around a gay relationship between a fat Sonic the Hedgehog and a random minor character from a long-forgotten niche Sonic TV show (who is now also the sexiest, richest, and strongest man alive). You never ever knew what to expect, and Tamers somehow managed to juggle so many different elements so perfectly together that it's genuinely incredible that it not only worked, but worked so well. People actively cared about Bardonic, Knuxonia, Sleengo, Aleena, Flora, Chuck, and so many others. The funniest show to ever grace the internet could somehow also be exciting and touching. And all of that packaged up in this kayfabe of Tamers, the mysterious warrior of the Sonic Underground, concealed and speaking in that incredible drawl, keeping everyone second guessing.
There has never been anything like SU, there will never be anything like SU, and it was all abandoned for FOTM, trite relationships where the fact that it's toxic yaoi/yuri is the only selling point, Hazbin Hotel-looking goonbait, a new audience of literal children and they/thems on Twitter, and a complete rejection of everything that we thought Tamers cared about in his own show.
It has become a cliche to mention that Tamers can do whatever he wants, and it's true, but what an utter waste of his talents and what an utter fall from grace. Nevertheless, I will forever be an SU warrior.
