sorry for double-posting, but somehow Tamers made a slice of life episode that was rough to sit through- and usually Tamers is pretty good on making slice-of-life episodes. Nothing but the of mares wholesale for 30-odd minutes and while it did mostly shake the 'annoying lesbian melodrama'; call me a bit of a schizo but I seemed to notice more 'sexually charged' Hazbin Hotel-esque scenes and jokes, especially up at the front of the episode.

'Nu-Tamers' seems to rely on 2edgy4u jokes like with Starlight Glimmer or runs with "sexy" poses and shots for other ponies like Trixie and Flawless. All I can say is /mlp/ will be eating and gooning good for the next week. My favorite parts were Derpy and Rainbow Dash with Applejacks awkward lunch was a solid second place; which I personally find a bit of a problem. If the better parts of your episode are on secondary characters not focused on main characters, there's something wrong with those characters. Maybe it's just my horrendous bias because I do not like these lesbian horses for what they've done and what they represent, but I just didn't find much to laugh at or was even interesting from this episode.
 
If you're skipping this installment, its nothing special. Not a single joke landed in this 30 min episode, and the entire time it was embarrassing in a way that sonic underground never was.

All I could think of, as I kept seeing shots of pony asses, is how tamers doesnt find bartleby attractive anymore. That shouldn't matter, but that was his shtick for a decade. Tamers believes that bartleby is hot, and he wants to make sex jokes with him. Su was so crudely drawn that these sex jokes worked every time. Thats how tamers getting horny worked at all in su, but here its obvious that this thirty something year old neet goons to anime instead of his stupid bartleby drawings. From how hes been consistently drawing anime crotches and asses in this series, he had been practicing for a while. Comparing those shots and bartlebys shots is like night and day.

I cant even watch older su anymore because I keep thinking, "is what i'm watching genuine or a shit post", but not in a way that used to be so captivating. Now its a question of when did it become a shtick, when he stopped caring, or is it actually as simple as getting an uptick of views in his first handful of mlp vods and thinking, "i should switch to this series instead" or "theres a lot more artists i can collab with in this fandom". Maybe loneliness got to him, maybe age. But su? Doesnt get to him anymore.

And the benefit of the doubt, that he is a 4d chess player making fun of fandom people, or that he's an irl autismo who loves sonic underground, is still technically there, but now i cant bring myself to care. This is what tamers actually likes, and what hes actually engaged in. This is the thing that makes him interested in complex visuals and multiple arcs. I always thought anime was tamers bitch, that it didnt control him, but now its obvious the opposite was true. Anime's bitch was always tamers.

Post your favorite art, boys. Sonic underground is no more.

Oh my lord not apple bottom and the homos again. The only reason I watch this shit anymore is a morbid fascination with how bad it's gotten. Speaking of, today's episode sucked. I despise the anime fanservice shit, it's just creepy and not in a funny way.

I really get the feeling that Tamers doesn't want to admit he's not interested in SU anymore because he knows it would break Bartleby's heart (and of course all of the true SU fans).
 
I really don’t have much to say about this one. So. Fucking. BORING. Way too much gooner bait at the beginning, something about this one in particular was just super gross. The fight between Twilight and the owl was good and the ponies pissing to put out the fire was kinda funny but that was pretty much it.

And I think Tamers really wants to work on SU but (as much as I hate to say it) just one thing is keeping MLP around…

 
God I miss Robotnik, its been like an entire year without him.
Tamers created the perfect, flexible villain that could fit in any episode under any role and yet he fell to the wayside.

I'm going to sound like a broken record, but it's a man. It's a filipino tranny college dropout who's in his mid-20s. Seeing tamers interact with the faggot is damn irritating, especially given the direction of the most recent episodes. I have a feeling more communication has happened between those two behind the scenes.

The most recent episode was such garbage that I take back any good things I said about the ponies thus far. The "everyone pees on the thing to put out a fire" already happened in the SU waterpark episode.

I've haven't been harsh on Tamer's new direction because I was happy he was making money and getting attention outside of his niche decades long grind of SU cartoons. I also liked a few of the pony episodes and even the not great ones usually had at least one good moment or joke. This is just trash, the fan service is becoming unbearable and not funny like it was in SU and these OCs and their drama aren't interesting to watch. I wish I could be more articulate to explain why any episode of the gay sonic cartoon made in MSpaint is better than this episode of the lesbian pony cartoon made in Mspaint, but it just stinks and I don't like it.

it being a tranny filipino college dropout can be found from the guy's twitter and youtube, not going to repost it since it's already posted earlier in the thread. I can't guarantee that there has been private communications between the two, but given how much they seem to interact I'd be surprised if there wasn't. the amount of sway this one guy seems to have over episode direction is past the point of coincidence.

I wonder if we'll be seeing more 'callbacks' to Sonic Underground episodes throughout the MLP episodes in the future, or if there's other moments like that in prior episodes. Cause I did feel like the plot of the recent episode was lackluster, the pissing on the house seemed to tip me off at the end. I wonder if previous episodes have some 'callback' to previous SU events that were glossed over.
 
I think Tamers totally forgot Chrysalis and Shining Armor had a subplot going on, complete with a love triangle and infanticide. Shining Armor was turned into a girl so that Tamers could write more yuri, leaving him dead and Chrysalis basically-dead since her main joke is gone.

In the meantime for those of you not caught up on your Sonic Underground lore, there's always the preserved annotated series (Tamers didn't make these, 4chan did). I hate to think some people in this thread might not have an encyclopaediac understanding of everything that is going on within the show's universe.

But also I damn well knew the pony fans were manipulating Tamers, From the money to his heart, ever since the switch to MLP Tamers has seemingly been caught in more controversy than any period in the SU production period. A channel takedown, split fanbase, and now a manipulative little bitch.

Why the fuck are mlp fans this insane. I get that SU fans complained a lot about Flora-fags and got antsy over Tamers wanting to take a break and try other things after 10 years of SU content, but mlp fans can't chill for like 2 months and need shit to be super serious drama all the time. These people had the nerve to call episodes focused on small scale stories "filler." Small scale white trash adventures are the bread and butter of any Tamers series, any plot progression is just extra and best when its not too complicated. Trying to turn Tamers characters into relationship simulators is so weird.

edit:
I forgot to add the SU fan revolt when Tamers tried to change Knuckle's voice to make him more show accurate. I remember him being really not happy about that.
