I'm sold on the pony shit. Maybe it's just refreshing to try out a new cast for a while, but I feel Tamers is on top of his game with the MLP episodes. I am so excited for the movie.

Your estimation is lower than what's true! The audience for the MLP videos is six times the audience for the SU videos.

I don't think Tamers is doing this for the views on his videos. I have a suspicion that he likes writing these episodes and animating them. But presently I think that he's encouraged to keep making and uploading the MLP videos because of the viewership numbers. After me, I'd reckon he's gained even more supporters who pay him using Patreon.

I define subscriber engagement as the average number of views that set of videos from a YouTube channel gets divided by the number of subscribers that the same YouTube channel has.
Tamers's YouTube channel has 35 000 subscribers, so the subscriber engagment for SU videos is around 46%. The subscriber engagement for the MLP videos is around 270%

I heard that, before Tamers had uploaded the first MLP video during the summer, his YouTube channel had half the number of subscribers it does now, meaning that likely his subscriber engagement was 100% or near enough before the advent of his MLP. If this is true, then much that the detractors of the MLP videos have to say about the effect that the reaction to them have on Tamers, Tamer's YouTube channel is also true.


Gotta admit, I am very excited for this movie to release. My expectation is that it will be at least one hour of entertainment from Tamers, and the story has gripped my interest. I can't wait to see what is going to become of Sorin and if Twilight is gonna die. Friday cannot come soon enough this week.

Does anybody want to make their predictions? I don't know what to expect besides that there will be some sort of resolution to this story arc of Big Mac, Brayburn, and Sorin.

During the time rewind sequence (that is a result of DaybreakerCelestia's ult) Luna experiences her younger self as a separate entity like Flora did, albeit more passively.

This all takes place after Luna and Trixie bind themselves together. Trixie demonstrates she has the power to turn back time, as can the unholy homunculus created by fusing her and Twilight Sparkle (she doesn't have a name.)

These characters (Twilight, Trixie, Luna, Flora) all share the same quality of intense envy for somebody else, with nameless homunculus pony being a glance into what that mindset (literally) creates. Even Daybreaker is meant to be this in the non-Tamers MLP canon, so her brief appearance doesn't feel coincidental.

I have no idea if it's a shared motif between the Sonic Underground and My Little Pony or just a general trope Tamers really likes, but I still find it strange that a magical character who is envious of somebody else (Trixie) has the exact same powers as this other magical character who is envious of somebody else (Flora). Even if you dismiss the orange and white garments both wear.

Edit: the homunculus has a name now. Tamers decided the /mlp/ suggestion was good.

The movie was possibly the most singularly autistic thing I have ever watched and my soul would be screaming in hell if I was found dead watching it whilst also being incredibly good. I am amazed he made this magnum opus in such a short amount of time.

This thread should probably be rated as a cognito hazard and its archives printed physically and burned before it breaks free and revives mlpol
 
I refuse, out right REFUSE to lie. I sat through that entire thing and it was 99% coomer bait. I get it, he knows where the money is.

Tamers12345 has just abandoned the kino in the process.
 
Guys, I think this is peak. I'm dead serious, Tamers saves 'the movie' moniker for some top shit and I think this is almost up there with the First Battle with The Boys in quality. Coomer AF and pony shit take away points but Tamers just keeps refining his craft. All departments of animation and storywise this is some kino ambitious shit. 8.5/10, not for anypony. I wish he had continued Zatch Bell 2020 instead.

But I fucking want SU back. If half of what he put into this makes it to SU (not coomer shit) we are golden.

I think it wouldn't be unfair to say this entire movie is much better than World War 3, even if I think it's lacking in the jokes department.
 
Incredible, simply incredible. The random ass Touhou music video, the fourth wall break, and the “to be continued” fake out all got me. Of the feature-length movies, definitely BWTB > Twilight Dies > WW3.

Agreed, throughout this entire MLP arc there’s been too much fan service/coomer shit bordering on softcore porn at times. Hell the BDSM scene a couple episodes ago was what got that video taken down. He said he’s gonna keep on making pony stuff but with this story arc seemingly complete I really hope he holds off on it for awhile. A Halloween SU return episode would be ideal.

I've tried to warm up to WW3 but Battle with the Boys is this epic movie while WW3 has this fantastic build-up videos, has great first half and then it just sort of ends. And then Tamers releases Doctor Robotnik has had enough, the Chili contest, Sonia gets suspended, Manic gets a job, back-to-back-to-back. There were epilogues to the first movie but First Battle can stand as its own experience, whereas WW3 just doesn't. For a retarded analogy, I feel about WW3 the same way most Star Wars fans older than Gen Z feel about the prequels.

I’ve watched WW3 a couple times and while I still like it, it’s just underwhelming. I like the first third the most, then the Yu-Gi-Oh battle just drags on, as does some of the war itself. Tamers’ appearance though is peak.

WW3’s weakness is definitely due to the fact that it was delayed for three years. The first trailer was in 2020 then there was radio silence. You could even see some things from that trailer that never made it into the final product like the heart man’s appearance. My guess is that Tamers got writer’s/artist’s block and had no other choice but to extend the New Boys arc.
