You're good people, Tena. You stuck your neck out for somebody you considered a friend. Maybe you looked foolish doing it, yeah, but your heart was in the right place. That's gotta count for something.

The more this thread develops, though, the less I think he'd do the same for you.

Well...I still want to believe that maybe these threads made others stop and think twice about things, too. It's not fun to be a target of mockery, but sometimes you just gotta suck it up and say, "Okay. I did this to myself; this was my fault. I deserved this." Other people can make you feel like you're the best person ever, but you're never above criticism, and never above making a fool of yourself.
 
So what else changed your mind? Did they do something actually stupid we don't need to know about?

Like @Meowthkip said, you're a good friend Tena. You stuck your neck out for the guy even though he doesn't really deserve it.

Getting called out on your shit is never fun for anyone, but it can be a good learning experience. Rob is still young, hopefully he can break away from this childishly autistic world he's encased himself in and gain some semblance of reality as he gets older. *Thinks optimistically*

I hope so, too. Judging by some that were here, they have. (SJC, Lion and AFPC seem to have calmed down over time) However, judging by Satsuki and Taka so far, they haven't much. One is still trying to con and the other is still referencing Zamii (which is horrible considering she just wants to move on already)

No, just some much-needed introspection. I still consider them friends, and I just hope they grow a bit from this experience as well. They're not "bad" people. We all make mistakes and embarrass ourselves sometimes.

Tumblr is literally bad for your brains. Even "normal" people on tumblr go goofy before long. It seems everything that goes on there turns into a weird echo chamber where opinions get exaggerated again and again and anyone who doesn't go along with it gets dogpiled. It's like the rest of the Internet but way worse.

4chan does the hivemind thing too but the anonymity of the environment makes it so people really don't give a flying fuck if they're out of sync with it.

Some group of psychologists should probably study what's so bad about tumblr and prevent things like it from being created (or use it to militarize autism).

eh. that's murky at best, even when it comes to the legal side of things. giving porn to minors=bad. porn of real minors=bad. porn of fictional characters=good. porn of underage fictional characters=in bad taste, but still perfectly legal and allowed.

Rob and most of his cronies are aware of the distinction between fiction and reality, and from what i've seen condemn the real world version but condone the fictional.

that said, both sides of it take the entire idea and blow it way out of proportion because dur hur they're all pedos of some sort on tumblr.

I guess I'm just getting too much of a dragondicks vibe from this, who herself was heavy into guro-kid-porn until her enablers got outed as being real abusers. Rob does the same thing when it comes to em el pe.

He spergs out about how Bronies do so much to clean up their fandom and cloppers are just this putrid disgusting minority that's hated by them whenever anyone criticizes them as a group, yet has no problem with other "clearly" problematic content in other fanbases he isn't a part of.

His opinions just seem to flip-flop to whatever's the most convenient for himself.
