I don't know of anybody who'd deny it, least of all Paizo themselves. Hell, they got their start writing stuff for 3.5. Several of their founders even wrote first-party material for 3.5. Although it must be said that within the framework of the 3.5 OGL they were fairly innovative.

Anyway, tonight's entry into the quotes file comes courtesy of one of my player's describing the unique theological position of the Mechanicus within the Imperium. "It's basically like if God came down and said 'Zoroastrians get to go to heaven too.'"

I have played these games since before most of these faggot cocksuckers were even born, and I am going to do nothing at all according to the terms of these worms.

The slogan for Pathfinder, printed right there on the marketing material, was "3.5 Thrives," and it came out because 4e was not at all what anybody wanted, and WotC severed its relationship with Paizo, who had been one of the most prolific 3.5 third parties. Everyone knew exactly what it was, and nobody claimed otherwise.

I don’t know much about him other than that he fought in the Middle East, and quite honestly, I still prefer him to Tim Walz, Kamala’s VP pick and Minnesota’s governor during the scamdemic/Summer of Love. I’m not even inherently pro-veteran either- I don’t like that eyepatch guy for being a veteran and still being a warhawk.

So, I went looking for rules similar to 5e sidekick system. Basically simplified companion characters. Instead all I found was nonsense. The pozzo forums in particular are so bad they're funny as the thread immediately derails into how problematic it is the OP wants companions slaves.

The most common advice is "just use Eidolon" but those are intended to be used with a dedicated pet class. Still, it's the closest so far. I'm also considering making the simplist PCs I can, but PF2 characters can get complex fast.

If they're down one party member (leaving them with 3), give everyone free archetype and balance encounters as if they were one level lower.

If they're down to two, either have them each make a second character to be at 4, or dual class and balance for a party two levels lower.

there's literally done nothing besides starfinder which has to be one of the worst space TTRPG's I think I've ever had the displeasure of playing and now they're trying to appeal to the 5.0 crowd.
Great business model you got there you only exist because DND pist off the customer base with 4.0 and then **** them off even more with 5.0 the customer base you have is gonna abandon you faster than **** through a goose

they literally had zero original IP's that isn't just are we skinned product from D&D

This is absolutely perfect as an example of what this pozzed out lunacy does. It's not even the politics themselves, it's that these gibberish babbling nutjobs are completely useless. What the fuck does this contribute to gameplay? Nothing.

the playerbase of pf2 is arguably the worst part. there are some chill dudes in there, but unlike 5e where you have a large silent mass they're much smaller so you see dreck like that almost everywhere, drowning out the better stuff.
so they kinda deserve each other, fostering a "community" which will actually scare of most normalfags.

they're basically privateer press until wotc gets it's shit together.

For sure. They just put out a lore book for Tian Xia AKA Asia, and the subreddit revolted because the mod wrote some huge post about how anyone who wants to discuss it needs to read a wall of text about how they're probably racist first. They also constantly complain that the cop AP is bad because the serial killer you're chasing is too gruesome, and the first question in any thread about the AP in a country ruled by spider people is to ask why Paizo put artwork of spiders in the players guide (it's inconsiderate to people with arachnophobia).

I still think the actual company isn't as pozzed as people think they are, they're just very subtle. The iconic Thaumaturge, the class built around making up bullshit and forcing it to be real, is a non-binary person who's obviously a very ugly and masculine man. I don't know to interpret that in any way other than based.
