I rarely run preexisting realms, except maybe Battletech and Star Trek. Otherwise, I always have a need to brew up my own world. I think it's because most published worlds don't offer things that I want to run without changing them first.

Sadly, games with rape, animal abuse and human sacrifice still exist in the RPG market. Work is still being done. There still new games like Hol out there.
Have these soy-filled bitches ever covered things like Stormbringer? The two lead cultures, Pan Tang and Melnibone, are both based on slavery, sadism and sexual perversion, with a side of what is basically demon worship. Almost all the really good magic requires either enslaving a demon (who hates you and will kill you if it ever escapes) or service to a Lord of Chaos.

And of course everyone wants to be one of those evil fuckers. With any party of more than two I'd have to assign who got to be one by lottery. It was also almost as bad as Paranoia in that almost any mission would end in a Battle Royale for who got the loot.

:) Oh boy, Steam is having a sale on tabletop games! I wonder what they have-

Oh

Man, imagine what chaos a drow unfortunate enough to be disabled might go through: driders! There exists a punishment that is called driders! Haha imagine if able bodied men, who have the wrong words to say get cast away as these monsters, what the drow would do to a disabled drow?

Monstrous. There are NO wheelchairs here, there's a reason for that, haha

These people don't know anything, but specifically they know nothing about dnd :)

It's shit. They've censored and removed a bunch of articles because they were too mean.
I think they just removed some of the questionable porn on it.
According to their front page, they removed some images that would not conform to Miraheze's content policy; they claim it was fewer than 100 files altogether. They did state that they locked or blanked a "few" pages, but I've yet to find a list of what those pages are.

The thing is that 2d4chan is a literal archival site, not an active wiki. Only the owner can update it, and the original intention was to update the site with xml dumps from 1d4chan yearly. If the original site is permanently down, it probably won't ever get updated again.

it doesn't, people dug into it. and even when push comes to shove they can remove it when it happens. they were talking with miraheze staff already, which makes any kneejerk reactions unlikely to begin with. that's also what they plan with any future "problematic content" if they haven't locked it already, there is literally no need for any pre-selection by their own admission.

you know what would be great for that? share the current dump the 1d6chan dipshits have to serve as a time capsule - but won't share.

Root deindexed the site because he wasn’t comfortable with some of the old humor of the site, which I hope we can all agree didn’t need to be quite so sexualized, coming in so high on search results.
it's literally run by retards who jerk off over 1d4chan's notoriety, but don't want to deal with the icky stuff, meaning they don't understand what made 1d4chan what it was to begin with (and most people "new to the hobby" had no fucking problem with if not getting into it because of it, which again is part of the reason why it was so fucking high in the index in the first place).
expect them to either go even more retarded in the future because MUH ICKY STUFF, or get replaced by troons who will sanitize it their way.

either way 1d4chan of old is gone, enjoy the rape of the decomposing corpse.

Yet another case of a bunch of useless faggots taking over something from 4chan (like SCP) and turning it into diluted wokeshit.

I love how everyone in that archive is literally shitting on the announcement and calling out the OP for being Redditors and sensitive fucks trying to sanitize the site for normies, and the OP just starts losing their shit when they didn't get the massive pat on the back they expected.

The socialist elf setting was a nice retarded touch. I remember i was researching on improving the Knight article because knights are cool and real knights and nobility are surprisingly slept on in fiction and fantasy so I thought I could add some info to help people make their characters feel more alive, and talk a little about combat including how fucking brutal it was, and go into to the wounds of skeleton P111, it would've been so cool.

These guys are pretty gayer than Phelous from Channel Awesome. Phelous, a hardcore woke reboot dick sucker. He doesn't even defend ghostbusters 2016. They spent the last 9 minutes of the West End Game Ghostbusters review defending ghostbusters 2016 and attacking ghostbusters fans. When they stop inserting politics and actually talk about the game they aren't bad. Then they attack Extreme ghostbusters to make 2016 look good.

Yeah, that video more than anything tells you upfront that they are journoscum and their opinion is worthless as a result. The only slight kindness I'll give them is this was one of their oldest worthless streams, meaning that it's somewhat less ludicrous for their ilk to still defend it.

Speaking of worthless; I got a good look at Daggerhearts yesterday. The system is actually somehow worse than Candela Obscura. You have to use cards to construct your character, yes cards. You do not come up with a single real idea of your own; you just slot a card in and apply what you get. You also are railroaded into what options you have based on class, and each sheet is slightly different based on class. For a roleplaying group of obsessed idiots, it's actually really funny how restricting their system actually is. Also it's damn obvious that there are going to be premium cards for this shit, so expect paypiggery towards that.

For those wondering, their term for race is ancestry, and it should be noted what they picked to file the numbers off of for their terrible game. Yes, of fucking course they have a Tiefling bootleg. No they don't have the Aasimar or Genasi equivalent, why do you ask? Yes they have a catfolk equivalent. Yes, it looks like the beastfolk from RWBY or some other shitty bootleg anime. There's a couple of decent ideas they stole in there, and they were at least savvy enough to make their dwarf woman have a thick luxurious beard. But they also enforce their backgrounds in the form of a caste system. WTF.

Another element of note is how there are no scores, simply the bonuses set up in an array. So yeah no ability to get weird lopsided designs via chance or no point-buy to custom build. Take the bonuses and that's it.

As for the mechanics? It punishes you extensively if you don't act like a chatty spaz. If you are shy or already tend to get steamrolled by your peers in the group, then fuck you. Now you have to have RP moments to gain hope and XP equivalents. It also punishes people who did not have a clean idea of how their character would start, which is also damning. There's two differently colored 2d12, and you always have a 50% chance to eat shit and give the DM "fuck us points" since you have to pick between "hope" and "despair". Also their crit is getting both of them at 12. This is rarer than a fucking D% system.

It's absolutely goddamn hilarious to watch CR's 3rd party logo affiliations make games like these piles of shit. Especially since they're actually far more inimical to organic roleplaying and emergent stories than goddamn b/x, something that came out before these fuckers were born.

The idea almost seems like roleplaying "correctly" means taking the setting guides as gospel and planning our arcs out from the start, rather than letting the character play out and building the story around that. Almost like each member of the group should be like a character on a TV show, sticking to their script and archetype.

That's because they want the NPC market. I can't tell you how many players I've seen over the past decade that mentally short circuit at the concept of actual fucking roleplay and can't even manage to memorize how to roll an attack in D&D: Retard Edition after two years of play. It's fucking depressing.

ngl, I'd take the beastfolk in the PHB if they took out the Tiefling, Dragonborn, and Drow. They don't have to get rid of them entirely, but they never belonged in the PHB. Granted, it could just be because I finished Dungeon Meshi about a month or two ago.
