So I am not actually sure what Aeolus is, so I might be going in the wrong directly, but this is the closest I know the system supports. There is some basic vehicle combat in the Basic Set GURPS books, but not much. Their main expansion to it is the "Spaceships" line of books. I like to use "Spaceships" in quotes here because the books actually have rules that can be extended beyond spaceships and into normal water crafts, fantasy airships, mecha, fighter jets, etc. It is really crunchy as the books give you the ability to build and design your own ships with a modular system. The only management software I have seen of this is that someone built a excel spreadsheet with a bunch of macros in it to manage building these ships.

I've only used the combat system in the first book of the series, which is more like Star Trek bridge simulator game. I know there are far more tactical combat choices in some of the later books in the line, but I have not used them myself. All of the rules to put the system fully together are spread out over seven smaller books, but it might be worth checking out.

One thing I will note is that almost all of the GURPS pdfs are pretty easy to find pirated copies online. Usually I just use a search engine and I am able to find the pdf of whatever book I am looking for.
Aeolus is a setting from Alternate Earths 2 that has my complete fascination and I've been scratching my head for how to run a game for a few years now.
 
The CAS is still kicking in Shadowrun because nobody gives a shit about it. I'd say at least 80% of games take place in Seattle, it's the most focused-upon setting by far. The flyover states are notable only for Chicago, which is UCAS, and the whole insect spirit thing going on there, and I can't recall anything in any sourcebook covering a place on the east coast.
 
Have you played it? I haven't played savage worlds so Im not familiar with the system.
I've not played MHI, but I have played SW a bunch.

I won't bore you with an in depth review, but it'll suffice to say the system has a few flaws and quirks (I find the mileage varies on how much they bother people), but it's my favourite RPG. I find SW excels at action heroics like Indiana Jones and James Bond, because the combat is at it's best when dealing with a large number of disposable enemies. As enemies usually go down in one or two hits, but even the lowliest of mook has the potential to be dangerous if players get careless or really unlucky. I find SW plays a decent horror game for the same reason. Even low end monsters are potentially lethal.

But again, no experience with MHI as novels or as a game.

Feral Cities covered Chicago (the insect spirit shit probably improved the place TBH) and Lagos, while touching on Bogota, the Geneva/Milan/Turin megacity, Geneva, Sarajevo, and some place called Karavan that's probably in Central Asia.

Here I fed it the synopsis of Extremophilia from Delta Green and turned it into a WFRP plot. It fits pretty well.
 
As @robobobo said about GURPS, the people that make Savage Worlds went full woke, but they haven't released much of note for wokeshit to seep into. There was Savage Pathfinder which inherited the wokeshit from PF2, there's the new super powers companion I've not read, and that's about it.
haven't looked into it, but savage pathfinder uses pathfinder 1 stuff. we're now at a point where some paizotards think rise of the runelords is too "edgy" and "problematic", so I'm not sure how much pozz there is (besides paizo being woke there's not that much wokeshit in pathfinder2 anyway - cue stickers).

The recent push from Chaosium and Paizo to ban AI art in their community-created work seems less like a way of giving in to community demand and more of a way to stifle smaller creators.
reads more like the whole legal aspect, when stable diffusion became widespread there was plenty of talk how much of the generated art is "original" and how much is a "copy" since it's been fed someone's art. most people being retarded when it comes to tech doesn't help.

you can also expect them to quietly drop their MUH ARTISTS stance when no government does shit since AI is pushed by big players with way more lobby money than MUH ARTISTS could ever come up with.

same artists who could train their own set with their own art as a shortcut and for higher output btw, which would mean they "own" all of it, but that's apparently to complicated to think about...

Been a while since I read PathFinder 2, but Savage Pathfinder inherits some woke, like changing "race" to "ancestries" and "heritages".

There is some decidedly un-woke in there too, like the book all but stating that half-orcs are the result of rape. I did a quick search of the PDF and found no mention of the x-card or consent forms.

There was a kerfluffel back in early January because they shitcanned an author for being a lefty twitter-sperg and said that it was their job to make games, not take stances on every controversy of the day and they stuck to their guns. Overall? Pretty based.

Had the night off so I got to join my bro's Cyberpunk Red game that he's been running. Never played before so I made a rednecky medtech named Doc Tape and had an absolute blast as there were five other players and we were able to all riff off of each other. May have to sacrifice a bit of sleep each week to keep it going, totally worth it.

Aw man I envy you. I’ve had the game for a while and since I just finished Cyberpunk 2077 I’m dreaming of running or playing Red.

How was the system in play? Did it go smoothly?

Not him, but goddamn do I prefer 2020. Red was designed first and foremost with an MMO mentality (gear levels, different areas being locked off until you reach a certain level of competency, cars being nonexistent to make it so that the Nomad starting with a mount is more important, and so on). This isn't me spitballing and saying "this is like an MMO," this was confirmed by one of the lead developers during an interview. Basically everything about the system from the combat to the gear system is over-balanced, largely stemming from the way the armor system works. The game feels like it's intentionally designed too tightly as a way to make homebrewing more difficult. Gear customization has suffered greatly, and the recently released Black Chrome supplement has done little to address this.

The one thing people say about the system is, "hacking is better now," but that's a lie of omission. Yes, hacking is better now. Hacking is still dogshit. Saying that it's "better now" is worse than just telling the whole truth because it tricks people into thinking it's worth their time to use it in their own games.

TL;DR Cyberpunk RED was a shitty cash grab to capitalize on 2077 coming out. Just play CP2020.
