Keeblers is fun. Was part of an all-elf party so the DM named us the Keebler Krew. I'm still racking my brain trying to find a good third K to describe what we were.

Only one of us was a kid though ( the hacker/rigger who forgot to put run flats on their otherwise IED-proof van), another was a weird quasi-Tolkienian physadept with Gremlins 3 that somehow wound up applying to his conversations and not just his attempts to undo parking brakes, another was an elf water shaman who got nailed by SURGE and turned furry (player was a furry, was chill and a good friend before TDS sadly rotted his brain, RiP), and I was playing the grumpy old dude born at the start of it all in 2012 one snarky comment away from going on a tirade how back in his day we didn't even have commlinks, but cellphones (has implanted commlink for smartlink like all good street sams, natch), and everyone was thankful for having cellphones, before segueing into a rant about the evils of SINs despite having one of his own still.

If he really wants to force us to take a big fat L, he can register tomorrow and try to debunk his own thread. I personally would be interested if he still believes that he has the legal right to kill people who disagree with or criticize him, since that is something he's said in the distant past.

As for elves and fantasy racism terms, the mention of their racist term being Keeblers amuses me greatly.

And if you DO love D&D 5e, some of the best stuff has been made by other companies. If someone held a gun to my head and forced me to run a 5e campaign, I'd use Adventures in Middle Earth or the Symbaroum conversion over "core". Easily.

I just can't stand purple-skinned half Tiefling half Celestial Rogue Warlocks in flying combat wheelchairs having "adventures" in not-Hogwarts prom nights.

I tended to stay away from third party content because the earlier offerings were either imbalanced (tome of beast, which I still liked) or poorly made/edited. I do use some homebrew (my own or otherwise) but I haven't taken a serious look at third party offerings in a good while, i'm open to suggestions though.

As for the fanaticism towards wotc, I find hilarious how three years ago the average twitter SJW wouldn't shut up about mearls defending a woman abuser and now those same people defend wotc to death for pandering to trannies and gays. Nevermind WOTC royally fucked over both the dragonlance and spelljammer creators

Oh, and Wizards grinds and breaks those gays and troons for mammon's wealth. They treat them as shittily as they did their white guy hires. So them defending wizards is them defending horrid conditions that likely have driven quite a few of them into wanting to suck a shotgun and pull the trigger.

It's very puzzling at face value, but then you realize these people are a cult. They're doing the corporate equivalent of lovebombing. So long as corpos do what the cult wants them to do, they can do no wrong.

Well, its' going to be a place where its graduates feel morally superior by dint of existing, who will gleefully murder the fuck out of anyone who disagrees rather than be diplomatic, because they're The Good Guys and are therefore always right; the kind of sinkhole of moral rot and corruption that its attendees and staff wouldn't be able to recognize unless they already had a fully-functioning conscience and spent time observing the fallout from afar.

I am aware they are a cult and yet it doesn't make it any less puzzling considering WOTC did treat a black employee like shit, that incident became public and then VERY quickly forgotten. I'm sure Orion black wasn't the first or last employee who was treated like shit, I doubt things changed over at WOTC and employees keep being mistreated and yet no genderspecial employees are coming forth to talk about their awful time at wotc. Think about it, they love attention and are often unprofessional as hell, WOTC must be taking some extreme measures to stop another PR disaster from happening.

I go in a different direction. They pay lip service to the fat transmasc dyke(s) they hired for PR/Coms and change the twitter profile pictures to rainbows or black or whatever but when the chips are down money talks and bullshit walks.

So when they see a way to eliminate a problem like some pesky creators of beloved content that aren't towing the line and... well well well would you look at that, they broke one of the billion Current Year shibboleths, let the perpetually online psychos tear them up for us. It's a myth that the private sector is super rational and always optimal but in this case even then most braindead sociopath running a department at Hasbro could see how to utilise woke mobs properly... until it inevitably backfires on them as it always does.
