It's Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, a mix of 1E and 2E rules.

Well, mostly 2E but with the Monk and Assassin classes back-ported in (Monks fall under the Priest archetype while Assassins fall under the Rogue archetype) along with Demons and Devils.

Setting is a custom creation of mine, heavily based on Medieval Britain and Ireland.

That's cool. I always felt 2e was in many ways a logical extension and evolution of 1e's rules. Since it's Medieval Britain is the Monk gonna be like...a Friar without magic powers that brawls? I'm genuinely curious.

There's a reason why I lurk on Onyx Path Forums but have no intention of signing up.

She's clutching at straws. Actual Play won because it's a huge initiative for RP. Harlem Nights is add on supplement. Not quite in the same league. Nobody was snubbed here.

Incidentally that websites MO is pushing diversity and feminism into TTRP and geek hobbies. So you know that they love complaining about how GOSH DARN WHITE everything is. Also did you read that appeal to emotion where she basically infantilises her friend and acts like 'reading a CoC supplement with black people written by black people changed her life, y'all!' Like, the most patronising, 'aww look at this simpleton black person' shit I have ever seen.

So weird. So she'll listen to logical conclusion that Zak S isn't a bad dude and just got dragged through the mud by opportunistic assholes but the fact that her backed pony RPG Harlem Nights didn't win an award is racism of the highest order?

This isnt actually that dumb, Capitalism with the breaks off certainly resembles several factions, specifically the Ventrue, Giovanni, Glass walkers and the Syndicate, Vampires are in the end creatures of endless greed. As always the problem is that it's the presumption is that it's the only interpretation or that you need it to say this.

WoD works best when it doesnt specifically spell out whose right and makes it clear that supernatual agenda's don't sync perfectly with their human counterparts. For example the
I'm really not interested in seeing vampire drumpf build a wall around mexico to keep the Sabbat out. Not in the least because the it would be a real positive to keep the Sabbat out.

Meh, I don't put much stock in what Justin Achilli says. He's generally an untalented hack who was responsible for some of the worst parts of the WoD metaplot.

'Vampires are unethical'? Uhm no fucking shit dude. That's the whole point. There are no redeeming features to vampires in VtM. Even if you play some sort of holy nun who helps the poorest of the poor in some 3rd world hellhole, you're still a monster with a beast inside you that can and will snap to destroy and feed. There's no escaping it. You have your rules and your regulations to keep it in check, but at the end of the day, you're a bad creature who feeds on humanity and there's nothing to outweigh that. You just stop caring about it.

Is this dude stupid? If you're attempting to play a redeemable good Twilight-esque vampire in WoD, you're playing it wrong. You don't have to be an edgelord or even an asshole vampire, but you're not a force of good and there's nothing ethical about your predatory existence.

That said, I'm currently playing VtM new edition and it's okay. I'm not sure why /tg/ hates it as much as they do. I can only gather that they think it sucks they kinda level capped your generation so you can't play really OP elders and the metaplot has basically said all elders were called back so they aren't sitting around the Camarilla being crusty. At the very least it gives your PCs more wriggle room to rise more. Because the issue with old VtM was that with old as balls elders sitting around just using everyone as chess pieces, there was no way you were going to advanced shy of outright murdering someone to get a better standing or domain.
