Anybody here a fan of D&D Rules Cyclopedia? I'm thinking of buying the official print-on-demand version from the DM's Guild.
I do own the PDF of Dark Dungeons, an OSR retro-clone of the Rules Cyclopedia and it's pretty good. But I look forward to owning an actual hard copy of the real thing.
Rules Cyclopedia was a compilation of nearly all of the sets of Basic D&D into one volume and was released in 1991, partly as a "last hurrah" send-off to Basic D&D, as TSR wanted to focus more on AD&D than they already had.
Rules Cyclopedia itself was one of those books that wasn't super-popular when it was released but is now one of the most well-regarded and widely sought-after old-school versions of D&D because it's essentially an "all-in-one" book that contains everything for players and DM's alike, it even brought back the stronghold-building rules from OD&D. As such, secondhand copies on Amazon and eBay tend to be expensive,
