Its a real shame but Cal Kestis seems to be stepping into those boots of Total Imperial Death pretty well, IMO. Both Al-Qadim and Khinasi in BR works fine as a orientalist setting. neither is too deep into the shit or directly inspired from a singular culture( more true for Al-Qadim then Khinasi). But they will destroy them.
