So the forever in the works W20 changing ways just dropped and apparently the sjw boat that is opp has been rocked by some of the rewrites that NüWW has put in.
I have this Vampire: The Masquerade ritual, but I need a second opinion on it. Is the system alright and what level should it be? I need this fixed so I can complete my fanmade gaming book.
Scream of the Night: This is a special ritual that Gorgo uniquely has. Not unlike the Melpominee discipline’s Death of the Drum, Scream of the Night can not only inflict damage, but shatter objects and create feelings of madness and pain.
System: This will affect anyone in listening range. Spend two Blood Points and roll your Manipulation + Intimidate vs any sentient target’s Stamina score plus 3 (max 10). Every success equals a point of aggravated damage (that can be soaked) that is inflicted upon the target(s). Non mystical animals automatically die when exposed to this ability and any mundanely made objects will shatter.
The scream’s second ability is that any survivors must roll their Willpower vs 6 to avoid succumbing to agony. If the roll fails, she will hit with sharp pains that will cause a +1 difficulty on all physical-based rolls for the next three turns. A botch will cause the target to go into a seizure. If the user spends two more blood points, she can increase the range of her scream by ten feet.
The ritual requires the sacrifice of a living creature at least the size of a cat and takes a round for it to activate.
NOTE: This ability does not work on the deaf and those that are hard of hearing or have special ear protection get one less point damage (assuming the roll doesn’t fail/botch). Given how using this ability majorly hurts Gorgo’s throat afterwards, she only uses it when needed.
I had to leave a session since I had a hard time making a character. Mostly because mage the awakening is is it too complicated which is a shame. I'm going to check mage the ascension to see if that's any better.
I really do think he's thread worthy but he's kinda a one trick sjw pony at this point. He's never ever going to work in the industry again and he knows it so spitballing from the side lines is his thing.
ust saw that Holden is buttmad because of anti vacc and anti trans stuff in there. And anti abortion. Yeah okay. This dude has popped up a few times on my radar and I'm not sure what his deal is.

TL;DR he Co-wrote exalted third ed, was the loudest chimp when things went south with the 3ex kickstarter, became a mod over at RPG.net (is no longer a mod because of said chimping.)
Burned his bridges in the industry after releasing a bunch of emails between himself and the head onyx path people in a vain attempt to prove that they were shit lords.
Has recently resurfaced during the "me too" movement to reveal all the creeps in the RPG writing community which he himself has been ostracized from by his own actions.
In more positive news, Steve Jackson got back the rights to The Fantasy Trip, one of the earliest RPG's ever produced and a direct mechanical predecessor to GURPS.
So I've been wanting to join in in a tabletop game, but with me going back to school that maybe a no go as I'm not sure how much school work I'll have. I'll have two days free every week (not sure what days, but Sundays should be free) until I start the "work experience" part of schooling which is basically is an unpaid internship.
Trade school so no. Also, the last time I seen anything for tabletop RPG's (that is people looking for gamers) was back in 2015 and besides, games tended to be on days when I'd be in school. Luckily I can choose what days I want to go to school, I just need to find out what days some games are being hosted. However, once I do my internship I wont be able to choose those days which sucks.
