Why not use it to trigger if it's a horror game
If I was running a horror game I would get them to fill this shit out. Then use it on these weak willed soy cretins triggers to intentionally make them uncomfortable. I'd play Kult or something like that with an uncomfortable setting that distorts reality to fuck with the players. If they could put up with that all they get to come back next session.

By this logic Chuck Wendig is a good writer because he used to do very good Chronicle of Darkness writing before he wrote that horrible Disney Wars trilogy.

Monte Cook is a complete idiot. Reminder he wanted to nerf martials more in 3.5.

Bad judgement moment on his part, but many of his other ideas/creations were solid. I think he was suffering from creator burnout.

A Monte Cook game is always about Wizards, Sorcerers and whoever their lame fucking friends are.

In other news, this is one way to get everyone to show up on time.

I guess this is just as good of a place to ask. I know very little about Warhammer 40k or its culture but I'm aware of the stereotype that fans pay out the ass for miniatures and it gave me the impression that you can't just use placeholders. Is there any real reason for this?

The stores where tourneys are organized are cunts like that if I remember right. You can get away with abstractions and place-holders in casual play though.

Don’t play in Games Workshop store if it’s anything but there models they’ll ask you to remove it from the table or leave the store. They’re even kinda funny with kit bashed minis and forgeworld models for some reason.
Proxies are fine in casual games at flgs like any other but if you’re scratch building, kit bashing or using 3rd party models / bits make sure it at least looks like the model / equipment you have listed.

As @Adamska and @Inquisitor_BadAss said, if you are in a official GW store/match, they will be ripest cunts imaginable. They don't just want official models, but you need to paint them with official GW paints and base flock. Do not get caught with Vallejo or Army Painter shit in your army box.

If you are playing at just your LGS, there will probably be That One Guy™ who will whinge about proxies and line of sight, but most players will be so happy to have someone else besides the same five warhams paypigs its been for the past 8 years (ever since Jimmy left for Iowa) to play autist faggot spacemen with, they won't care if you proxy with quarters.

They could tell? I did some research for unrelated reasons and plenty of youtubers even admit it's all the same shit but Citadel has funny names for their paints.
