Only if he chops from that part of the blade. If he were stabbing his enemies with it, it wouldn't do as well as a non-serrated blade. Speaking of serrated blades, do any sword spergs really think those things even acted as functional? By that, I mean do they think they're as good as a katana over a broadsword.

It may be wanting to look bad-ass like Link. Even then, the attempts at looking bad-ass doesn't go well with the sword and the faces they make along with their appearance makes it look more like a joke.
