I know the intra-family marriage thing was proposed here as a tax dodge- why can't a father marry his son, thereby conveniently avoiding inheritance taxes?

I hope the Moderate Party won't back down like they did back when he was accused of having connections to Russia.

It wasn't always like that in fact before Charles XII fucked up Sweden for some times was the strongest around the Baltic sea and fought the HRE in the 30 years wars (before the HRE became a joke) and won quite a few battles, hell even with Charles XII they defeated Saxony, Poland, Russia and i think another state until Peter the Great and the Russian army defeated the Swedes so bad Russia too it's place after the Great Northern War (i think that was the war name) in the early 1700's

The television program Uppdrag Granskning recently made an episode where they took a look at the ethnicity of convicted rapists, and to the surprise of absolutely no one, it turns out that not only are foreigners overrepresented in rape statistics, but they actually make up a majority of rape convicts (the actual number is probably even higher, given that they didn't include people who have one Swedish parent or are born in Sweden but have non Swedish parents):

Assuming you are American, I think the concept of Swedish political youth wings is more or less the same as that of Young Republicans and Young Democrats; get young people engaged in politics, foster potential future politicians that will make sure your party survives et cetera. They are not autonomous, however, their politics are not always 100 % in line with those of the mother party (generally, they are more politically radical).

The "youth" orgs are often used as 'stalking horses'. I.e they propse stuff that's a bit risky for the main party, and if the response are good, the motherparty can adopt the policy too. If reception is bad, the main party can jettison it with less bad press since it wasn't the party proper.

Sometimes the youth orgs genuinly go against the main party and push something radical against their wishes. Mostly the youth brigade of Vänsterpartiet (crypto-commies). The youth org of Sweden demokrats had a true falling out with their party resulting in breaking off, and there were battles over trademarks and such.

I believe many of them are active now in the smaller AFS (roughly the Swedish alt-right)

I think you need the card to pre-vote and to vote in election spots outside of the one designated as closest to where you live. In the closest one, on election day. ID is enough.

It took them quite a while to come up with that as the true reason for marrying family members though and it didn't change the fact that they were supporters of taxing inheritances. When they started waffling on that and polygamy, this was pretty early on because wtf, one of the founders, a strong figure from the LGBTQ+ side of things, quit in disgust. It was maybe six years after that when I first heard the "*rolls eyes* it's just a tax dodge, jeez" excuse from Eternal Leader Schyman.

I'm not saying I know what's really going on, I have no fucking clue, but whatever it is that they are doing they are doing it on purpose.

Yeah, we kinda are. We have a facade of being open and wanting multicultural, but if you don't want to become a swede, then we have a problem. There is a reason why all those who want open borders don't live in an area with a high population of migrants. Deep deep inside of them, they don't want to be near them.

The pro-immigration network #jagärhär was previously planning to be present at polling stations to ”support” voters. Even if one of the key people behind the network, Mina Dennert, has withdrawn this action after being reminded by Ledarsidorna.se of the criminal nature of such interference, it cannot be excluded that extraparliamentary groups or sections of various parties, such as youth leagues, may interfere with the election. These actions may lead to re-elections in parts or the whole of the country at the same time as the perpetrators risk long prison terms.

• The ballots were indeed positioned with their ”back” towards the entrance. But there was no screen in front of them, whereby someone could easily see which party’s ballots a voter decided to grab.
• The election workers allowed several people to stand next to each other at the same time to pick ballots. My critique of this was met with the statement: “But then you can take ballots for a bunch of parties and throw away the ones not used.”
• Several people at the polling station recognized me. I waited with entering to pick my ballots until there was nobody behind me. I then noticed that a man, who had just voted, had returned to the premises and stared at me for a long time. We were probably studying each other for ten seconds, preventing me from picking out my ballots. It was only when he realized that I wouldn’t move towards the ballots that he turned around and left. None of the staff reacted. The situation was very unpleasant.
• Two of the voting booths were turned towards a temporary screen. The screen blocked the space to the library. But it was so low that if I stood on my toes, I could easily have monitored the voting in the next booth. The election workers didn’t react when people tried to squeeze past the screen before the booth had been vacated by the voter.
• I am getting reports that ballots for certain parties are missing in election locations around the country, and that the ballots in some locations are placed in a way that anyone can grab all the ballots available for a certain party and thus impede the election for a registered party.
