Out of those for Zelda, Skull Kid seems to be the most interesting one. Other than that... a Goron, maybe?

Or hell, just bring us more weird retro throwbacks. Can we PLEASE get some StarTropics representation already? Did Mike Jones call Sakurai the N-word or something?

I know it never came out in Japan and Smash is all about whomever the Japanese audience would care about
 
Kirby only having 3 characters is the real disgrace here, they could use generic waddle dee, or generic waddle doo, or dark matter. /sneed

Some franchises just have enough characters. The main staples are covered. DK could probably use Dixie, but the only other main character in Zelda is Ganon, who is currently a giant fart cloud.

Look man i love majora as much as the next guy but lets be real, skullkid does jack shit and you dont even fight him
And nintendo isnt gonna touch majora (the mask) because it would open the bottle to any random enemy could join smash
Unless you want the fucking fish as a character

I mean that point was already moot with piranha plant being in the game. But yeah I don't remember skullkid doing much in the game.

I'm totally excited for Byleth to be added, if only for how angry people get for more Fire Emblem characters. If they were gonna do a character from a franchise that hadn't been added though, I'd hoped for maybe Layton or Pheonix Wright, just cuz it would be fun to see what would be done for movesets.
 
Joker was a disgrace to SMT fans. Even the previous Persona games didn't get love, it was just Persona 5 and Persona 5 only. Jack Frost or Jack Black should've been in, not Joker.
 
Brings back every previous playable character

Brings out old classics like Ridley and K. Rool

Adds one last characters for free DLC for early adopters

Introduces a way to have hundreds of non-playable characters get references

Adds 4 new characters and 4 new stages, each a massive hit for different reasons

Introduces two big indie titles with their own music and costumes

Releases a Fire Emblem Character and the first actual fire emblem stage.
 
They had one job to finish the awesome DLC lineup and was not to put in another Fire Emblem character.

I am not liking 2020 for Nintendo.
