The only thing I'm pretty bummed about is the lack of trophies in this game, which I can kind of understand since they'd eat up a lot of development time, but this new weird mix of trophies, stickers, and customization stuff is going to take a while for me to get used to.

That said, I'm glad Piranha Plant's confirmation blows all the Bandana Waddle Dee naysayers the fuck out by proving that generic enemies can make good Smash characters. He was the only one I'd really been rooting for, anyway.

Not gonna lie, I'm actually excited that Piranha Plant is going to be in the game (although that's due to my affinity for monstrous carnivorous plants in fiction). I'll most likely end up switching between Piranha Plant and Ridley as my main for the game.

I would have preferred for Petey Piranha to be playable, but this is good too.

Best part is that from what I've read, if you purchase the game before February you get him for free, as after that he'll be paid DLC.

Also glad to see Incineroar made it into the game.

I'm a little disappointed the Grinch leak turned out to be false, as I was looking forward to Banjo & Kazooie being in the game, however there are going to be DLC characters, so maybe they'll be added later. That said, normally I don't buy games on their release date, but I might end up doing that for Ultimate if I decide to get a Switch later this year.

I appreciate that Nintendo has gotten way less stingy this time. I think you had to buy BOTH versions of Smash 4 to get MewTwo DLC for free.

It spits poison and spike balls, and it turns into Petey Piranha from Mario Sunshine for it's final smash. Do you even pay attention?
