I wonder if they'll implement a proper Adventure Mode this time around. Maybe not The Subspace Emissary-calibre, but something a bit more substantial than Smash Run and especially Smash Tour last time.
My avatar's a dead giveaway here, but I thought taking City Trial from Kirby Air Ride and basically replacing the vehicles with Smash characters was genius. Then again, CT is basically the only reason anyone remembers or plays Air Ride anymore. That said, it's still disappointing that they never introduced the option to free-roam or even lengthen the timer, but maybe that's just me.

Well Nintendo has been getting better at announcing big games and releasing them that same year, like if they can announce Xenoblade 2 and release it all within 12 months, I'm sure a new Smash coming out in 2018 isn't out of the question.
I’m continually amazed by the fact that they seems to be better than pretty much anyone else at keeping NDAs.

Gamefaqs is already exploding on what people want. I am pretty tepid on Smash, but at least it will get some fans hyped.

I really can't see this being a port either. An enhanced version of Sm4sh like how it was to Brawl maybe, but definitely not a straight up port. There's no way you make a teaser like this just for a port.

Also, if you look on the website, this is what it says on the bottom:

If it were truly a port, it would have looked something like "2014-2018", much like how the other ports look. Take Dark Souls for example:

The only thing that I can see being a possibility is that they'll delay the game like they did to Brawl back in the day. But with Nintendo being on point with their releases as of lately, we may truly have a release later this year.

What's notable about this upcoming game is that even with the possibility of a Brawl-esque delay this is the shortest pre-release cycle for a Smash game that we've had in a very, very long time (I don't remember what waiting for Melee was like). They're going to have to reveal a shit-ton of characters by the time E3 rolls around assuming there are even more of them than in 4, and the rest of the pre-release information is bound to come at a much faster pace than in earlier iterations.

P.S. Happy 10th anniversary, Brawl. Fuck, I feel old. :(

I better accept that Splatoon is a full-fledged new Nintendo IP Franchise like Pikmin and Pokemon became as I was still a child. Not implying the game is bad, but I don't get it.

I just hope they cater to the nostalgia boys like me. I will be bummed to find out if the Duck Hunt player is gone.

And do away with characters that have no business in Smash Bros like the Wii Fit Trainer and the Villager.

I never got into Splatoon, nor did it appeal to me. If people are happy that the inlinklings are in it, more power to them.

Inklings seem like a kind of weird but obvious inclusion, maybe they’ll be primarily ranged? That could be interesting and incredibly obnoxious.

I wonder who they’ll dredge out of Nintendo’s history to be the new throwback this time? I’ve been holding out hope for Lolo or Mike from StarTropics since melee but really I’d be satisfied with ROB and G&W returning.

My money is on Mach Rider. And it's not like they forgot Mach Rider was a thing, either—after all, there was that Melee remix.

Tiers don't exist.

They shouldn't exist.

They don't need to exist.

They only are suggested to exist so those dorks have something to blame on when the "Broken" Meta Knight kept beating them.

There'll be a tournament for Smash Switch at E3 where the game will be shown off for the first time, along with another one for Splatoon 2 (but we all know which one will draw all the crowds).

Pretty exciting stuff.

Tiers do not exist. They don't need to exist. They shouldn't exist. They are only thought to exist so dumb sore loser nerds have something to bitch about when Meta Knight, Ike or whoever else thats new beats their ass because such characters are "broken"

Remember all this going into SSB5.

Edit - shit didnt even know i posted this thought twice. I get drunk too much.
