Hope we can get Xander Mobus to record some new lines for multiplayer. Might I suggest:
"Player 1: INCARCERATED!"
"Player 2: CANCELLED!"
"Player 3: METOO'D!"

No doubt. Although, it's been a while since I've played the game, so can you confirm something for me?

Was Geno ever developed beyond being the man (or star spirit) on a mission?

I played the game and I don't think Geno spoke much or even had much of a personality. Bowser and Mallow had the strongest personalities out of the cast, I'd say. And yeah, Mallow did indeed have the most development while Geno basically had none.

God, I hope it is not real. The fighters slots can be used on much better characters like Crash.

Sakurai said he wanted him in, so that sparked much of the want. Sakurai basically just wanted him because gun arm.

Well we have 5 more characters, I just hope they avoid Geno and Shantae if anything

No. After his big introduction he only shows up outside of battles a few more times before the confrontation with Smithy. The only thing that really goes toward development is after the final boss battle before Smithy, when Geno knows he'll have to leave once they get the last star piece, and is sad.

Really, I think the reason why people like Geno is because he's a (star in a) doll that shoots bullets. And only see Mallow as a kid that cries a lot, and/or use him improperly in battle.
