Characters that don't have female as the default option as well as duos don't count for them. So Pokemon Trainer, Villager, Wendy, Robin, Corrin, Nana, and yes, Byleth and Kazooie don't count. They also don't count the non-human characters period, so Pikachu's female alts and Jigglypuff are out as well (not sure about Isabelle because she's harder to dismiss). And then for all their talk of acceptance of non-binary genders, characters without a clearly defined gender are also out, so that's the rest of the Pokemon, as well as Dark Samus, ROB, Duck Hunt, and Piranha Plant. This is how they get low numbers for female characters to bitch about.These were the same people that have been bitching for months about no female DLC character (Kazooie and Byleth don't count due to whatever arbitrary reason). They finally get a standalone pile of polygons with ovaries and they immediately move the goalposts again to bitch some more. Who could've seen that coming.
