As said in the video, when Leffen bought a Boxx clearly just to fuck with it and spread false information about it. He "manipulated" his community into L-Canceling the wrong way which is a move that saves a few frames at the end of your aerial attacks. He blamed it on the boxx having a bad layout and provided a fix that actually made L-Canceling on the boxx worse instead of better like he said it would.

Now, I never used the boxx back when I played, if Hax was wrong here too then shame on me. But from what's in the video this is clearly fucked up. You're actively bringing down someone else's product via false information, how is that defendable in any capacity?

I don't think people are siding with Leff as much as you think they are. It's more like they're siding against Hax.

And by the way, the reasons some people are siding with Leff include:
- Hax released an autistic screeching insane video that among other things, accuses Leff of being literally Hitler, wearing the same branded clothes. And it's funny to take the other guy's side.
- Most of us think that the smash esports scene is filled with autistic manchildren, and we can all sympathize with a charicature of a person who we view as the "normie chad" versus the "136 page pdf screed basement virgin"

Personally, I think Leffen is an asshole who probably should have faced worse consequences. But Hax has demonstrated himself as an unstable screecher who has demonstrated a serious passionate hate with stalkerish tendencies, which is definitely something you should punish in a community.

Instead of using it on your head like I would expect you to, you use it on your asshairs. You tell your huge audience it's way better for your asshairs than your scalp, and that my directives for product use are wrong.

You're right when you say that it's the consumer's boxx to customize as they wish, but my point was that Leffen actively treated the controller layout as a flaw, which hurt Hax's business.
If Leffen had simply said that he preferred to use the boxx with a different controller layout, then this wouldn't have been an issue. Instead of that, Leffen pointed out the default controller layout as a flaw in the product itself.

Leffen refused to admit that his layout was inferior to the default one. He would praise his own layout while shitting on Hax's at the same time. When he was proven wrong, he would throw out insults or just ban whoever was trying to get to him. It lead to people questioning if the boxx was fucked up from the start. I don't see how this isn't malicious. It caused controversy in the community, that controversy was intended to happen by Leffen, therefore it's a malicious act on the boxx and the community as a whole.
