Consider the logistic of adding Geno. Why would Square Enix want a niche, irrelevant puppet who's only playable appearance was as a secondary character in 1996 over the villain of the most famous JPRG game outside of Pokemon games? They are not going to sign off on such a minor addition when there are a wealth of more famous and marketable additions they can draw from.
Also trending on Twitter implies that he was a legendary character that somehow did not get the role he deserved and that consensus being shared by the general public, rather than the Geno fan base being the laughing stock of the Smash community and wondering how anyone thought he needed to be in. Face facts, he is never getting in.

"Those DANG, DIRTY, TROLLS ON TWITTER AND 4CHAN keep saying Geno will never get in! How horrible!"
It's amazing how people like TheCJBrine do not understand the first rule of the Internet, never respond to the trolls. Complaining about how horrible the trolls are on the Internet is exactly the response these "trolls" want to hear and will then be mocked accordingly for being butthurt. The entire post - and all posts in the thread like it - is a cope.

Like what, your ass?
I doubt a lot of people are raging over the fact that you haven't given up yet. Instead, they're laughing their ass off that you and your deluded Genosexuals are still hanging on to "Here's How Geno Can Still Get In" when Geno has already been served a hard disconfirmation with a Mii Costume. You might say that a Deluxe Mii Costume with a soundtrack was your condition to giving up, but that was you shifting the goal post a week before the Mii Costume revelation happened so that you would not be called out for doing it in the first place.

I mean, you've already did a massive con with Geno that's failing in real time and you have proven that when the Geno fan base needed you the most - during the Smash Ballot - you were not there. Why should detractors not point this out when you inevitably abandon Geno in the end? As for the third example, even your detractors would call that out if someone were to do that so no, it doesn't work. All of this is an excuse to ignore your wife's plea to get off the Internet and focus on more important matters, like not building the most ineffective cult in history.

- Melee had no third-parties. Why on earth would you expect Sakurai to acknowledge Geno over... basically any third-party or Mario character?
- He didn't perform at Sonic level and licensing for third-parties was tougher than it is even now. Back then, third-parties were seen as guests rather than optional additions as Snake was supposed to be the only third-party on the roster. Sonic was added solely because he was by far the most wanted character and people wanted a Mario vs. Sonic rivalry. The Geno fan base popping up during 2007 is not enough.
- And you should be grateful for even that recognition.
- Except you were not, the costume is back and has been updated with improved cape physics. That's not being ignored, that's him being extremely generous with you when Square likely wants him nowhere near the roster.
You are twenty-nine years old. Call it a day and move on.

And welcome NapoleonBeezwax, who came in after Sephiroth's confirmation. With whining about Mii Costumes, speculating about how there is still hope for Geno, the total massacre of the English language, and being twenty-eight years old, he represent the stereotype for a Fatman's cult member to be groomed to accept whatever bullshit he puts out.

I'm going to jump ahead and cover this gem.

For those wondering, Morgana J. Cat is referring to the Big Four theory that has been floating around the Smash speculation community in recent years. The Big Four are considered the "never-evers" - Ridley, King K. Rool, Banjo & Kazooie, and Geno, popular requests within the Smash community that made their mark during the late 20th century. But if you look at the history of all of these characters, one of them sticks out like a sore thumb.
Ridley - The mainstay villain of Metroid, Samus's archnemesis and the reason why she is a galactic bounty hunter. Metroid is also a very important Nintendo franchise that continues to this day and revolutionized the action-adventure genre by making it an open-world action game where Samus tries to get out of Zebes.
King K. Rool - Main antagonist of the Donkey Kong Country franchise, which was key to Nintendo winning the console against against Sega during the fourth generation. Was dormant, but successfully revived in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Banjo & Kazooie - Protagonists of several successful Nintendo 64 platforms Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie which as considered among the best games on that platform
Geno - Secondary party member of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Star and never showed up except in a cameo in 2003's Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
More importantly, Ridley, King K. Rool, and Banjo & Kazooie supporters actually campaigned for their character during the Smash Ballot, when the fans voices actually mattered. Geno's base was mostly dead during that crucial time and did not start picking up until after the ballot in February, 2016. By then, it was too late to make a different. Ultimate's roster had already been picked and there is no evidence that outside of Banjo & Kazooie, anyone in the Pass are being picked due to fan demand. But of course we're all supposed to believe that Geno was heavily requested since pre-Melee and it was a crime that he wasn't before fucking Wario in Brawl.
You snooze, you lose. Geno will be a relic of Smash speculation history and a warning to never trust cult leaders going forward.
