Yes but it's still based on someone's opinion
Yes but when the character rarely shows up in high level play that RNG is probably just irrelevant. I don't recall any Heroes showing up in the NA Smash Online thing Nintendo did in May this year. As for shitty players trying to use RNG? that is why they are shitty :P if they were good they wouldn't need it.

I don't get why people try to take a party game seriously and are complaining about low chance abilities, especially since the same people who do usually chimp when characters like Ryu are added, which actually requires them to play him like a real fighting game.

I legit don't get that part.

There are such things as demonstrable qualities, such as speed, reach, movesets, all of which can be equivocated. Final rating is ultimately subjective, but you can usually be reasonably fair with objective measurements. You also usually have to have a curve in an unbalanced system.

Because some group of people will turn everything into a competition. People are autistic as fuck.

I don't mind it, but I wish the "competitive" scenes would..compete in the spirit of the game. Like have the "Official" Tournaments be 4 way brawls with Items on and the like. I dunno why "The best players" are decided by stripping out everything unique about the game.

btw why is hero mid tier?
Basically the RNG of his spell list, sure he has a few bangers in there and his KO potential is amazing..but his base damage/launch is lower and the spell list has alot of JAAANK.

Ah, one of the most cancerous gaming communities to exist. Anyways, I have a related story. So I had a friend who played Smash Ultimate waaay too much and basically talked so much shit about how fucked I would be if we played. So I, who had not played competitively since Brawl decided that I would beat him as Little Mac. He actually cried when I whooped his ass on Final Destination or whatever it's called now when he was playing as Ridley. Mind you I was barely using my Special Attacks, only really using the guard breaker. It was overall the most basic approach I could have taken.

Slow not good combo and easy to combo/kill/gimp.
+ not that much great players main hero
Well... His speed can be fixed by a speed spell, his "easy to kill" can be fixed by both speed spell and zoom, and who gives a fuck about which character great players use lmao? Also he can easily auto buff his strenght, 12% (I guess) of chance to kit you with one of those random crit smash attacks, has lots of shield break moves, has good recover, a big powerfull moveset that can kill you on low%...

The speed/power buffs are hypothetical he might not get them which can actually fuck you over if you're not lucky. And in a tournament youz might not want to rely on luck.

Great players show a way to make the character viable in a top 8 scenario.
Hbox,Axe,Amsa and other have changed the meta thus making some characters win spots in the tier list by showing how they can be viable at a hight level

Tier list placing is also based on usage, partially. Hero is banned in most international tournaments and I believe a majority of Europe because the language barrier makes it unfair for whoever natively speaks the game's set language.

Tier lists are attempts to quantify the qualitative properties of the game, and so it's not 100% accurate nor the end-all-be-all of a character's strengths. It's just numerical data of the character's performance in a competitive setting. Arguing about it won't change anything. If you think Hero is a stronger character than people give him credit for, go out and win tournaments with him. Otherwise he'll remain where he is on the tier list.

I'm just never gonna get tired of watching fighting game characters transition well into Smash. Their existence makes the zoomers cry because in order to use them to their full potential, one must understand how to play the game they came from first. The problem is that zoomers don't know or refuse to learn input commands that Street Fighter boomers have known since first hitting up the arcade.

Ryu, Ken, and Terry are usually placed on mid to mid-high on many people's tier lists because not many players of this party game play them due to how technical they are, but when someone knows how to use them there will be salt.

"Samox ruined smash" probably just means all the new people he brought in from the documentary ruined the community or something
Mel I think was some catfish who played M2k and "committed suicide" which caused M2k to break down at a tournament
Koopabackdaashwaveslide is just a technique that requires stupid levels of precision. Its basically a longer wavedash. https://youtu.be/7cdedWw-Xbw
PBnJ owing money sounds very familiar but I can't really give any sources on that. Probably can find some posts about him on smashboards if you dig around a little

I’m still waiting on a Tekken character. Bandai codevelops Smash so I’m amazed it hasn’t happened yet. Almost any flagship character from that series would make them shit a brick. Mishima’s have a mixup between a fast, + on block just-frame launcher and an unseeable low that knocks down or launches. Steve or Hworang’s stance cancelling would give them an aneurysm. Bryan’s taunt cancels would make them scream. Xiaoyu or Zafina get to dodge everything. Yoshimitsu’s entire movelist is nothing but insane gimmicks. Does anyone have recent Leffen drama? He was apparently shitting on that game again.

Soul Calibur X Dead or Alive in Smash please.

Confirmation Zack was the rapist. Even twitter seems to be done with him after this one.
Here's the archive. Somebody already got to it before me, so at least whoever is following this mess is on top of things.
