Something to note about this bomb threat was that these kiosks were removed in March and the email was sent in April.

Anyways back to community.
One of "the best" players in the FGC, Sonic Fox said he'd outplace every smash player in the scene, which resulted the actual best Smash 4 Player right now to retaliate
Df60ojzW0AIL5BB.jpg:large

(Poster opinion: Sonic fox is actually a huge fucking cow that I'm surprised he doesn't have a thread yet, and also pretty much will google himself in more ways than one and find anyone to yell at. Also, Caps Locks way too often to show he's angry or something.)

This caused lots of people on both sides to just meltdown. You have people on the Smash side genuinely not liking Sonicfox because he's a scrub (this has been said by a Japanese DragonBall FighterZ player who beat him 10-4 and beat him in a tournament after knowing exactly what he does) and then people on the FGC side acting like it's "a smelly baby trying to pick a fight with a pitbull" as if the FGC hasn't done that before

It's amazing how two people who play games at a high level can be suddenly at each others throats.

Thankfully this will be resolved in a first to ten upon release.
Keep in mind that SonicFox is such a hardcore furry that he's shown up to actual streamed tournaments in a fursuit. Zero, on the other hand, is a pretty innocent guy. He's pretty simple and surprisingly normal for somebody who's the top player for Smash 4 and is pretty friendly, which is why this tweet is sort of shocking since it's rare to see him act negatively toward anyone.

That's neither here nor there, though. There's always been infighting between the FGC and Smash Brothers, especially since Smash Brothers isn't a traditional fighting game but a "platform fighter," instead. It's lessened a little bit with even FGC fanatics like Low Tier God saying that they're welcome in the community, to a point (granted it took him losing a set in Street Fighter to a Smash 4 player). As of right now, the big pushback for Smash players in the FGC is just that they tend to smell bad, apparently.

I'm pretty sure the smell bad thing is a meme at this point

I still love him for how he decided to add the Wii Fit Trainer as a middle finger to tards spamming his twitter with character requests.

The whole drama over who isn't in it is hilarious IMO. Bettween some Pokefag crying that Snivy was't playable to the whole people howling for Indies. It's a shit storm.

Yeah, that's him. Apparently there's more to him than what I know, he sounds like a walking trainwreck.

A thread on this guy would be good. If we can find more on him. Heard he is quite a wanker as is.

I'd like to throw in some things about Sonic Fox.
He's shown up on stage, either with a fursuit or someone with a fursuit, in Nevada summer heat. Not only is this an auditory distraction to some but it could also be a physical distraction in the sense of smell. Meanwhile, they've banned "Dream Land Clapping" at EVO which was a bit of chanting that involved clapping while Dream Land 64 was the stage for it being, you guessed it, a distraction.
I also once saw a post on r/kappa, probably one of the worst places in terms of the "FGC" if you can call it that, where someone made a post about how he fucking smells, and he responded with this

All caps seems to be when he gets angry. Great to know.
I'm kind of amazed at the amount of elitism the FGC has over something as trivial as fighting games.
Partially true, mainly because back in the day, Smash players would be playing in basements and at their houses instead of stadiums and hotels. However, "Stinky day" was real. It's as much of a meme as "Smash players act different by saying calling certain FG tech different names" without knowing that they give these names because they are literally different from other fighting games, with people thinking when they say spacies, they mean zoning (using projectiles to space the opponent) when spacies is a term to describe Fox and Falco as two characters in a group.

The guy even out of the suit looks like a piece of work. Reading that he smells of piss and spunk makes me wonder what he does in that suit. Doubt he washes the suit.

Sakurai added them because Wii Fit literally sold +20 million over the globe, they are very well known among health community / casual non gamers and 100% deserved a spot on Smash.

But alas, the #woke smash bros fans are too close minded to accept Wii Fit Trainer is actually that popular and some still hate her inclusion to this day.

I thought it was because he wanted to add a character nobody would expect

I think he said something on the lines of, the intention was to make it clear Smash isn't only about "fighters" so he would show that by adding "non combatant" characters and making them fun to play, and then he added Villager and WFT.

The reasons nobody expected those two were because they had no idea how popular they were and nobody could realistically imagine them as fighters. But considering Animal Crossing and Wii Fit huge sales, their inclusion shouldn't really have been that surprising.

With the trend of hardware ip becoming characters like Game and Watch, ROB and Wii Fit, and Duck Hunt (with zapper gun), I would not be surprised if Nintendo Labo Man becomes a new fighter.

Prepare for massive cardboard salt

And we may have an ARMS character, which I am not surprised there hasn't been one. People want other third parties or Indies and use the excuse of "WELL IT APPEARED ON NINTENDO! IT BELONGS ON SMASH!!" I seen people claim Shovel Knight belonged to Nintendo. I seen people use 'WELL IT HAS AN AMIBO! CAN BE IN SMASH!" There is already an upcoming Indie Smash Clone called Indie Pogo. It's in 2D and looks pretty fun for it being an indie game and their first time. Plus there is an upcoming 2D Indie fighter that features the Knight as well.

I'll welcome our great based Labo Man to appear in Smash so he can drink the many tears. So if there are new fighters, chances are it will be the Labo Man and an ARMS rep.

If it’s just a cardboard box that shapeshifts into the Labo forms sort of like G&W does that would be excellent, but if one of them turns it into a massive saltshaker my sides would go into orbit. Could also be G&W echo and work fairly well.

Aside from things like polls, they're more likely to put in things that are either a) currently popular or b) that they want to be more popular.

Everyone that wants Waluigi unironically is autistic.

Nintendo has loads of characters. Just they need to ease off the Damn Pokemon and Fire Emblem characters.

Know who I wanna See?

King Hippo. He is iconic enough from Punch Out.

Speaking of FE Characters I remember upon the announcement of Corrin, people complained about "Another anime swordsman" being in Smash. Years later, those same people wanted Lyn, a character who is pretty much only good looks. She's a trash unit that you HAVE to use and level up to get the best results, and there are other units who outclass her. In reality, Lyn is pretty much irrelevant past a certain point in FE7. Hector would've been a better choice for multiple reasons.

I love the addition of "echo fighters", because now Nintendo can just shove all kinds of characters in that are barely unique from existing characters and it won't make the game feel as bloated.

That being said, prepare for every forgettable Fire Emblem character (most of them, let's be honest) to be shoved in for the ten people who still enjoy that franchise.

Nintendo has been doing this since Melee(Pichu, Dr. Mario, Roy, Dark Pit, Lucina) they just gave them an official name.

Goddamnit, is that all it is?

They should do like Project M and have a bunch of characters just be reskins. Then make all the Fire Emblem characters, Shulk and Cloud be Marth.

EDIT: These negative ratings brought to you by stalwart defenders of a party game.
