They would try to latch on to things like Tekken or Street Fighter only to be ritually humiliated by the overwhelmingly black player base.

Aether at least has an EVO presence so people who are into plat fighters rather than exclusively smash have an excuse to be competitive for it. But Smash players will always stick with smash regardless. It's why melee has been a thing for a very long time.

Also most smash players don't translate well to proper fighters, there have been a few that have but it's rare. We are talking about people who scoff at motion inputs.

Current Smash players would be roasted alive if they try the shit they do at their locals. If they were facing a player like snakeeyes using a grappler, they would spike their controllers to the moon.

They already do. See: GG Strive and how Smash trannies managed to poz it. Take it from somebody who plays both series. Traveling for Project M and Xrd? 0 tranny occurances. A decade later and Strive/Ult are out? Trannies everywhere.

64, and Smash 4 would likely gain further relevance. 64 moreso simply because it's kept a following throughout time and Smash 4 since it would be the latest and greatest entry otherwise. Modded titles like PM/P+ would still be underground as all hell.

If Smash as a whole fell off the map though? I could see something like Rivals getting a decent following but Rivals doesn't have the same appeal as Smash does, so I could just see it being as big as Project M was back in the day, just without the "well it's a mod" part to it.

Autism rant incoming, but shit like this pisses me off as someone who was active in e-sports as a young woman.
Nearly all "woman led" esports or tech groups are ran by people like this, and I know a couple women that were drove out of the community by just stating that they wish that they actually had some female players on the team. The amount of goonery and disturbing statements that come out of people like this are terrifying. Talking about how Falco was massively overrated on tier lists for years could randomly spur into a discussion on how their "designer vagina" is superior to a female's reproductive system is just plain nasty.
