was the trailer when the geno mii costume came out, wasn't it?

fairly fuckin' certain he literally said "i wanted geno but i could not get him beyond a mii costume"

i could be making that up, i don't really care about smash, i just watch the character reveals because they interest me. but i'm pretty sure that happened.

I checked and he never said much about it. The most he said about any character never getting in is Waluigi only because Reggie said in an interview how aware he is of it, and had openly blocked accounts that kept spamming him about Waluigi. It doesn't help he openly hates people speculating about characters based on his personal life.

He did say stuff about it back for Smash for Wii U/3DS so maybe you were referrin' to that

i can usually tell you, very accurately, that something happened. but fuck me if i know when.

but yeah, that quote right there. i thought that made it pretty clear Sakurai wants him but Square won't give it.

it's the same reason I don't really care Dante didn't get in. I would've liked Dante to get in, I think he deserves to get in. But he showed up as Mii costume, I took that to mean Sakurai tried to get Dante and somewhere along the way he got told no by either Nintendo or Capcom.

Yes but add in how Sakurai actually was super happy about Waluigi since in their delusions Sakurai will love it despite the fact the man hates his fanbase (for good reasons)

There's literal dozens of videos just like this made exclusively for views, it's honestly pathetic how blatant it is.

It begun with people testing to see who could make a large jump on Hyrule Temple, then testing to see who could do the jump in reverse. At least that has a slight bit of practicality because it's a stage that everyone both has in their game and likes.

With custom stages, it literally doesn't matter because nobody but the creator has the stage and nobody would ever want to play on it, but it's an endless source of content. It's like videos of top 10 lists, except even more banal, as if the "top 10" focuses on dreams that individual person had before.

Someone made a joke one time about how these videos are churned out by sweatshops/third world pajeets trying to make some money and it's stuck with me for a long time lol. I don't think they really are but I can definitely see it just being people trying to churn out this soulless shit for money

Sakurai can like Pinocchio all he wants, but at the end of the day Square Enix holds his copyright. They didn't allow him to be used in brawl, 4, and now ultimate; SE doesn't give a damn about this character whose sole appearance was nearly thirty years ago, nor do they care about this insane cult that has convinced themselves that geno is a household name with millions of fans all over the world.

Come to think of it, the spergs who thought Ashley from Warioware was a shoe-in are on the same level of tardation as geno's fans. The difference is that Ashley keeps appearing in new WW titles.

Yeah and Ashley spergs have quieted down so the Waluigi Spergs have overtaken them for rooting for a side character in a major series.

These Genospergs though really still cling onto one comment that Sakurai made and do not think that he could've done this thing that people never do which is change their mind.
