On December 18th, 2025, CorpseSyndrome/Jessica Cruz-Guzman, creator of the bizarre Mario RPGMaker fangame Mario: The Music Box, burned a father alive and his house in front of his 11 year old daughter. On January 3rd of this year, she has been charged with murder and attempted murder of the other man in the household.

There is also a Google Doc from a former friend of her's. I've downloaded and attached the file to this post as a pdf for those who do not want to interact with Google.

It started with a argument in the street with a man in a G-string kicking a woman on the ground:

I'm on mobile and don't have a lot of time at the moment, but searching through Twitter led me to a Google Doc someone made about CorpseSyndrome. I haven't read through it all but apparently there are allegations of grooming minors too. At a glance, I saw that this provides some more information on the incident itself.

Holy shit some of her last tweets were sharing a song clip that goes "I hope you die in a fire, hope you'll be stabbed in the heart", and talking about burned corpses. Two days before killing the guy. I hope that ends up in evidence. Also BPD diagnosis confirmed.
Just as I was about to post, found out her husband was one of the many who trooned out during COVID. Their poor daughter.

• She's Mexican American
• Grew up with an abusive mom, was raped by uncle from ages 11-15
• Married an Australian guy at 19 (around 2016) and moved to Aus to live with him, had their daughter shortly after that
• Struggled with suicidality for seemingly her entire adult life, multiple suicide attempts, hospitalizations
• Her husband trooned out around 2020, she seemed extremely supportive of him regardless
• Her tweets were constantly filled with her gushing over him and their daughter. Aside from the suicide attempts, her tweets make her seem somewhat normal with a surprisingly happy and close family.
• Last suicide attempts mentioned in June 2024
• Mentioned going through a divorce in July 2025
• Mentioned being homeless and unwanted due to mental issues, said social workers were helping her get back on her feet
• Was in some strange living situation with a man, his wife(?), their 11-year-old daughter, and another man (maybe this is the situation the Aus social services arranged? Not sure how that stuff works there).
• The night of the incident
  • She confronted the father about his daughter's cleanliness, and he responded with, "At least I have a daughter."
  • She snapped and set him on fire
  • The mother, daughter, and Jessica's service dog escaped
  • The second dude got burned, but beat up Jessica outside in the street before emergency services arrived
