Why do they take these reviews so fucking personally? Are they just really insecure with their taste in movies that they constantly need to feel validated? I mean shit, they act as if negative reviews of movies like BvS or SS are personal attacks to them.

I could understand if there was backlash over a review that said something like "These movies are stupid and anyone who likes them should die" but that certainly doesn't seem to be the case the majority of the time time they act it is.

When you have no personality, you have to find ways to get offended.

Maybe I'm just old. But observing this generation, they consume so much media, and have their opinions and values shaped by them so much, that it becomes their identity. And any criticism of their tastes as dictated to them by media is by proxy an attack on their identity. They find it almost impossible to separate themselves from a subject they are interested in or passionate about, subjectivity and objectivity are foreign concepts to them, as if their brain never developed the ability to do it.

Comic book Girl has actually often complained about internet "activism" a few times. That Ghostbusters video made so many leftists get so angry about her that they sent her reply videos telling her why she's "wrong".

Nothing like watching some dangerhair get drunk and depressingly talk about Suicide Squad.

Comic Book Girl isn't really a "dangerhair" and has criticized several films for the same reasons we end up doing so here. That video was actually a failed attempt by her to film a review for Suicide Squad, since she didn't want to make a review that was just her saying it sucks over and over.

While I don't know/care about Comic Book Girl 19 per say, it's always worth pointing out that the stupid hair, stupid clothes, and stupid tats are really just mainstream fashion appropriating from 70s-90s punk counter culture. The stuff about SJWs using punk rock fashion as danger colorization is a meme, even if SJWs and punk rock fashion are correlated. If you actually try to use punk rock fashion to ascertain someone's political outlook and behavior you're gonna have a bad time.

I would agree, but after seeing her introductory video where she says she wants to talk about "super uncomfortable stuff like existentialism and patriarchal systems" I think shes falls into that camp
