Both Tumblr and Reddit are sperging out about this movie and it's great. It's entertained me for most of this week, better than anything on TV.

I saw Suicide Squad for free after drinking 3 bottles of cheap vodka, and it was the worst movie I have ever seen while buzzed.

So i saw it an hour ago and i'm going to say my thoughts on it.
It wasn't as bad as people said it was, but it was definitely not great. I hated the first half the most, mostly because I gritted my teeth everytime The Joker was on screen. That's really the only time we see him, and thank god for that. Second half wasn't great, but it at least made sense and the action scenes were pretty cool. My favourite character hands-down was Captain Boomerang (which is Jai Courtney's best role) although he barely got any screentime. Katana said only around 6 lines and the film and Slipknot's character was killed in 2 mins top. Deadshot was cool (the actress that portrays his daughter is atrocious though) and I didn't mind Margot Robbie's Harley (pretty much on point with her original character. I liked El Diablo (great death, at least he went out in style unlike slipknot) and Enchantress was good for a character being portrayed by a supermodel.

Also excuse me if i'm wrong but I don't remember Amanda being this mean. I get that she's always been a cutthroat woman, but holy shit is she a sociopath in this movie.

All in all, 4/10.

The movie literally has the line "normal is a setting on the dryer" used unironically

It's godawful trash I'm glad I didn't pay to see

Saw the film yesterday. Not worth all the hype or hate either, It's just simply mediocre. Though unlike Dawn of Justice where I never want to watch it again, I would be interested in checking out an extended cut if they ever decide to release it.

I thought tumblrinas were obsessed Marvel fangirls who couldn't stand DC? What happened, Marvel got too white and male for them?

Pretty much that Marvel got too white. Despite the fact that they have a all black superhero movie coming soon, and a female superhero movie in the works too.

I mean you can argue that Suicide Squad is pretty racist by stereotypes alone. The Japanese character is a samurai, the Mexican is heavily stereotyped, the Native is non-existent, and the black characters are super serious.

Shoehorning in diversity never works out well and Marvel realizes this.

Anyway this movie is a joke. The people defending it are jokes, especially the SJW's.

, the Native is non-existent
I think he had a larger role till it was cut (his actor had learn rope tricks which never used), when they wanted to re-shoot a majority of the scenes. Also there cut scene that was a reference to him being a serial rapist.

But the female superhero isn't Black Widow who is their Queen so they don't care about that movie...Which would make the movie flop hard.

I wouldn't be surprised they don't care about Black Panther either because he doesn't act like a stereotype.

Well thank god that got cut out. They cut a lot of things out it seems, and no wonder it's a terribly edited movie. I can say it's edited much worse than BvS.

Slipknot was supposed to die in the comics, so i can't really criticize them for that (also I think it was to show that Amanda wasn't fooling around). Some of Joker's scenes are gone in the movie too.

I didn't mention this in my review post but Rick Flagg was wooden as fuck. They should of cast Tom Hardy in the role like they originally planned. I only recommend this movie really if you want to see half naked Margot Robbie.

Black Panther is intelligent, well educated, soft spoken, and absolutely committed to bringing justice to criminals. Social justice types are going to hate it.

They should have cut the idiot who's only superpower is throwing a boomerang. What Orgazmo and Calendar man weren't available?

I actually wonder whether the requirements (energy, etc) in terms of playing IRL Joker means that the age range in which you can do it is limited. Nicholson was in his early 50's when he played Joker. I do wonder whether those two factors are linked.

Cesar Romero was older when he played the role from 1966 to 1968, at 59-61.

It kind of blows that everyone who plays the Joker now has to act in Heath Ledger's shadow. Seriously, someone should just do a campy Cesar Romero type Joker to calm everyone the fuck down and move on past that. The Joker does not have to be le edgy and deep Byronic anti-villain or whatever the fuck they're trying to make him now.

I think it's a combo of movie execs playing on comic books fans' mentality of “edgy = mature and serious”, and the fact that Ledger died before TDK was released in theaters and nobody that valued their own life would've dared to criticize his swan song.

Anyways, here's the official Twitter account for the movie. WB is constantly retweeting positive reviews of the movie from fanboys and fangirls.

That certainly contributed to the performance's legendary status, but it was also just a really good performance. Still, not every Joker from now on needs to try to out-do it. It's a recipe for failure.

I saw the movie last night for free, and it was just... okay? Not bad, not good. Just a mediocre popcorn movie.

Definitely doesn't deserve all the attention it's getting, positive or negative.
