He's actually had the chutzpah to say that people who leave America are unpatriotic, but people are morons for criticizing him for moving to Europe. Zero self-awareness.
It wasn't even to LARP as a revolutionary like Brittany Pettibone. It was literally just out of laziness. The plan for the Netherlands was for him and Mrs. Styx to be like people who go to Florida for winter. Then Rona comes along and, even after he stops doom-mongering about it, he uses it as an excuse to not get Mrs. Styx a green card.

True. He's never been secretive about his own life or anything, he just doesn't really give himself many chances to talk about that sort of thing.

Viva will find him weird, being the normie he is, but I think Barnes will find him fun if not a little bit of an intellectual lightweight. Expect him to get into more specific details about political things just to test Styx for fun once he catches on that he doesn't actually know that much beyond platitudes and boilerplates.

Styx has put out not one, but two videos in the last two days praising censorship and asking for more of it. Very libertarian. Not that I blame him, fighting with leftist faggots has turned me from a libertarian into a straight conservative. But still, Styx's principles seem pretty weak. It looks like Josh was right, all the libertarians just use their political beliefs as a way to justify whatever degenerate shit they're into and they don't care about anyone else.

He took a victory lap and Right Wing Watch's ban was removed

As far as I know, his position was always "I will point and laugh at any individual or organization that calls for censorship when its get banned". I remember he defended some christian or catholic guy with whom he disagrees when he got removed from YT just on the basis of fact, that the person removed was not calling for bannings.

I guess one of Tarl's new favorite grift talking points is that vaccines don't protect against the Delta Variant (TM)...except they do. Just figured I'd let the three people who go to Tarl for medical advice know that.

Oh and also, another one is that the vaccines might cause cytokine storms later on. That's also impossible in the case of Rona.

Okay dropping the PSA schtick either Tarl is an idiot or he's trying to rile people up like he (and Metokur) did at the start of Rona. Either answer doesn't paint the best picture. It's the flip side of the government and media fearmongering coin that he's been complaining about for over a year now.

Cosign.
The (actual) preliminary data from some of the 'big five' vaccines do indeed show broadly similar protection rates (specifically against severe disease, which would naturally include death) when compared to the original Wuhan strains (L and S lineages).

One observable motif among the vaccine-skeptic bloc that has formed is a general reluctance to re-appraise prior positions or conclusions with new data.
For example, Tarl's friend (Stefan Molyneux) continues to express the same uncertainties regarding the actual efficacy and long-term implications of mRNA vaccine inoculation at the population level that were first expressed between Summer to Fall 2020.
This is despite the real-time case studies we see between (or even within) various countries (separated temporally) showing that, yes, they do indeed work at mitigating dissemination (to some degree), symptomology (to some degree) and mortality (to a massive degree).
Are there continued areas of uncertainty? Absolutely. We still don't exactly know (on an evidence-based level) whether there are any longitudinal changes to morbidity long term (and such studies will have some degree of bias, as there isn't a placebo control group, so the best we'll have is characteristic matched unvaccinated controls).

Rather than articulating those concerns, Tarl, Molyneux, Crowder etc. are failing in their self-appointed roles as principled opposition to 'medico-oligarchic tyranny' or similar verbiage (not that it's completely unwarranted; medical ethics 101, patients should not be compelled to have vaccines if there is an earnest, sincerely held refusal, they're cognitively intact etc).

It isn't so surprising that they're failing to live up to their roles - Generally speaking, most of these 'content creators' in the Populist Whatever's aren't both STEM-trained and formally taught in some of the more rigorous soft sciences (or at least emanate from an epoch that predated the slow descent into erectile dysfunction-level intellectual flaccidity).
Tarl doesn't understand the things he comments on, nor does he have the foresight to bring on a qualified scientist to leverage their grounding in the principles of the subject (to his credit, Molyneux at least attempted this with Paul Cottrell last year, but... That... didn't end well).

TL;DR "Grift" is an increasingly overused term of diminution in political discourse these days, but your use of it with Tarl and co. is absolutely justified, given the above.

Yeah, from what I've heard the T-cell epitopes are conserved between the the variant that was first detected in Wuhan (the one the vaccines are based on), and the "Delta" variant (the one that was apparently first detected in India), so it should at least make the disease less severe, even if it can't block infection if you don't have the best immune system, for example in older people. The transmission should be reduced about 50% in very close contacts if you get infected, and close to 100% if you don't, unless there's some sort of near-impossible T-cell evasion. The data on transmission is pretty sketchy though, not controlled.

From what I understand (I'm no microbiologist but I'll take a look at Pamela Anderson's no-no square for science), the T-cell epitope in SARS-CoV-2 is the spike protein and not the membrane protein - The latter is definitely well-conserved, with the former already showing heterogeneity by last September:

The majority of the troublesome mutations so far (such as enhanced ACE2 receptor binding) involve the spike protein. We have actually been fortunate so far, as parallel domain mutations (ie. mutation to the membrane protein escalating interleukin production + spike protein heterologue expression + enhanced shuttling with GRP=78 hasn't happened (yet? hope not).

This is the underlying reason as to why the first wave of vaccines are due to become progressively less effective as time passes and the longer SARS-CoV-2 is in circulation, as the sum number of mutations would obviously increase (irrespective of mutation rate) and the chance of escape mutations (especially after selection pressures are applied, such as with languid vaccine rollout) occurs.
Given the most immediate site of mutation so far is the spike protein, the immune response to said vaccines may offer partial protection at best against future variants with significant, evolutionarily advantageous changes to the spike protein.

Touching on your last sentence a bit, we received preliminary news from Israel that the Pfizer jab (which is arguably the current 'gold standard') is approx 30% less effective against the delta variant (offers only 65% protection, versus 95% against OG Wuhan). So, the prior expectations regarding poorer transmission blockage with subsequent strains have now been vindicated.

Returning to Styxhexenhammer briefly, and in relation to my second paragraph;
I distinctly recall Styx claiming, at the outset of the pandemic around March 2020, that he's '90% confident' that the virus 'would be harmless' after two or three waves, using the analogy of the Spanish Flu and Ebola.
That very clearly hasn't happened - The Brazil Manaus, British, Indian and India-Plus variants are all associated with worse morbidity and mortality compared to either of the OG Wuhan strains.
Additionally, India was already dealing with the British strain in late 2020-21 before the Indian strain surpassed it in both infectivity and mortality - This runs counter to the 'all viruses become less deadly' maxim that some, including Styx, were asserting.

I'm unsure if Styx has since conceded that his prognostication was based on superficial Darwinian principles and was made in a state of ignorance (fex. we had zero empirical data regarding where in the RNA genome the virus would preferentially mutate in, and what its ramifications may be).

I'm so tired of this whole Netherlands arc. I just want to get back to the days of MRE dinners in the chamomile garden.
Yeah even when I didn't agree with Styx I used to be impressed by his ability to do like 3 different types of video in one day.

"I've known people who were transgender."

"You have people who were born male that say psychologically I feel female, so they take estrogen, maybe they get gender reassignment surgery maybe they dont, and they wear skirts and stuff. Those people aren't perverts."

Uggggh...does Styx follow Lilith Lovett too? Yes, Styx, AGPs are perverts. It is a fetish. And yes it does involve other people, they thirstpost constantly with their male legs, bulges and shit trying to get positive comments like they're hot women.

Styx's appearance on Viva and Barnes was less than an hour. Weird since all of their other shows go longer than 2.
"You have people who were born male that say psychologically I feel female, so they take estrogen, maybe they get gender reassignment surgery maybe they dont, and they wear skirts and stuff. Those people aren't perverts."
Styx is basically turning into a Stonteoss neo-republican.

Kinda disappointing hearing this guy regurgitating these "globalism is fascism" talking points like some 65 year old MIGAtard whose flesh is fused to a mobility scooter. I think he's smart enough to know fascism doesn't just mean authoritarianism, and is probably being dishonest instead of ignorant.

It pisses me off how people cry globalism when in reality its called business relationships. Like people think Biden is gonna adopt Chinese policy and make Americans worship Mao when at the same time puts Russia in a headlock.

-Republicans= China is the devil, we like the Russians
-Democrats= Russia is the devil, we like china

Like nobody notices this pattern or something this is coming from the same country. How can you love and hate both. It's just geopolitical good cop bad cop shenanigans.

Okay, maybe the gripes about his pronunciations aren't something I should've concerned myself arguing against. He's developed a new verbal tic where he adds "-ness" to an adjective or noun and emphasizes it (ex. oneNESS, liberalNESS, etc.) and I want to punch him every time he does it.
