If Styx was a smart man he would have dropped the whole political shtick when trump lost and just went back to making niche content about the occult and gardening. The funny thing is back during the bush era he was probably against the republican party.

In fact the main reason he cited for supporting Trump wasn't (at the time) that he was into the God Emperor shit, but that he thought Hil-Dawg would have started a "nuclear war" with Russia over some spit of land no one cares about like Syria.
 
Styx's lifeblood is manufacturing stillborn novelty takes. He is just a sperg with no tangible way forward. The best approach is just to ignore him, leaving him engaged with red herrings and getting excited for the next red herring. Yeah, that was a weird note, but he got him right in the field he tweeted. Except the title. Not sure why he keeps calling these people liberals. Most of them prefer "populist left" or "social democrat" and I'm fine with that. Jimmy is pretty ancient, so there's some wholesome sexism on top of that.

I think it comes from sports. Sportsball teams always have dumb names for their fanbases "Raider Nation", "Cheeseheads", "Bills Mafia", etc. MAGA Boomers follow politics in the exact same way they follow Sportsball, so the branding makes sense.

For literally almost a year he called Patreon "Puhtrayon" and still doesn't know how to pronounce "Buttigieg" (Booty-judge) or "Klobuchar" (Klo-boo-sharr), so it isn't even reserved for "scholarly" words (though there's plenty of that too). There's only so much you can use your barely-existent accent as an excuse for.

I've never heard the "Puhtrayon" one, so it must have been a long time ago.
Regarding Pete Buttigieg, when Styx first started talking about Buttigieg, he was saying "butty-geeg (hard Gs)" and iirc he got flak for it, so he started calling Pete "Booty Judge" to "troll grammar nazis" and to belittle the man, whom he doesn't like.
His only problem with Klobuchar's name is, as you note, that he tends to sound out the U "oo" instead of "uh", which isn't that bad. You'd think he'd have corrected it by now, sure, but he's not butchering it.

Puhtrayon was way way back in the day, like early 2015 back in the day. I was subbed to him at the time and honestly, he was way more interesting then. I've mentioned it before but nowadays he sounds like he's on a caffeine rush in his videos. This was when he was just some dude on an old indoor porch in the evening, drinking tea and talking nice and slow, stream of consciousness style. This was when videos would regularly reach 15 minutes plus in length.

As for "Klobuchar," that's fair enough. I think the "char" is supposed to be said like "charcoal," hard "ch," but that's not that big a deal. I think it more just shows that Tarl should expose himself to more sources, including ones with audio, to have better-formed opinions. He used to, but now it's almost all shooting from the hip and he makes a ton of errors and repeats himself a lot with the same "edgy" platitudes as a result.
