I somewhat agree. The GOP is looking far favorable to the Dems at the moment and have for a few years (again, generally - there's still tons of dumb shit Republicans do that prevent me from genuinely liking the party and wanting them to gain too much power) so I can understand Styx's desire to back them insofar as they are actually a viable party that at least entertain some facets of libertarianism, even if they're unlikely to ever deliver. But he certainly is kissing a bit of ring.I love it how Styx is continuing to play the part of the non-partisan independent voter all while shilling for the GOP to be reformed completely. Yes, Trump was a change from the Rommneys and Bush's of the world, but he wasn't even close to being a libertarian, same goes for DeSantis. Yes, the GOP is moving towards a more populistic platform but there's really no signs of even 'pseudolibertarianism' apart from the usual "slash the spending" and "cut the taxes" that conservatives have touted for years now.
I often wish he would talk more about the LP - I've actually requested this of him, though I never got a response - but I think he considers them to be too weak and too dumb to be worth talking about most of the time, especially when they nominate complete and utter clowns like Johnson and Jorgensen. I can't say I'd disagree with that assessment.
