Styx reminds me of that "Satanist" you knew in sixth grade that just never grew up. It doesn't surprise me that Jim's "Finders" stream would be so triggering.
There are times when I wonder why he is considered a serious political commentator. He thought Trump was serious when he described Kirsten "Soccer Mom" Gillibrand as the one candidate that he really feared. He clearly doesn't understand the differences between the Labour and Liberal Democrat parties in Britain, describing the latter as being further left to the former. I remember even hearing him talk about how he almost didn't vote for Trump because Pence looked too much like Bush.
Like most YouTube commentators on this side of the aisle, he seems stuck in the 2000's: like a slightly less autistic version of Razorfist.

Just because he makes interesting content and he's often reasonable doesn't mean he's always gonna be right. The fact he has his own biases is fine by me, because he's not some bandwagon jumper who wants to be friends with everybody.

He's an American who primarily focuses on American politics so not knowing which is more left between Labour and LD is forgivable especially when both of those parties are very left leaning. Pence looking like Bush could've meant "being politically similar". When it comes political commentators on YouTube he is one the better ones. He doesn't ramble without making a point, has a decent grasp of contemporary and historical politics, his predictions have a decent track record and he is consistent on his own beliefs. Also his garden vlogs are excellent.

That's fair. However, if he's pontificating on British politics, I would hope that he would have a better grasp on it.
From what I remember, it was in reference to Pence's appearance rather than his stances, though that did play a part in it too. It was just so silly to nearly not vote for an overall good candidate simply because "Dyslexic Man Bad." It reminds me of people who vote for candidates simply based on appearance.
Admittedly, he's not the worst. He's nowhere near as spergy as most political commentators, and I wouldn't mind having coffee (or tea in this case) with him. There's just so many facepalm moments with him that annoy me at times.

Finding a Dutch person who doesn't speak good English is the real unicorn. A lot of young people can find themselves speaking English even when socialising with only native Dutch speakers.

Doesn't he always preach about the dangers of certain hallucinogenic drugs or something? I thought he tripped out badly on spice some years ago and then stopped taking drugs altogether because he knew he could freak out. It seems that either he didn't follow his own advice or he had his first fight with his new wife and is already about to give up on the relationship after realizing that he is "trapped" in Amsterdam.

So this was around midnight in Amsterdam. He probably got fucked up and got lost which is kind of easy to do in unfamiliar places while drunk or high. Being unable to find someone who speaks English in Amsterdam is a little off and, I hate to point this out, nigga clearly had his phone on him. Does it not have a fucking map? Could he not call for help? Can he not look up how to say Sorry to bother you I'm a little out of it how do I get to ________? on it?
Styx strikes me as a really deficient human outside of a few areas. I like a lot of his content but he seems really...underdeveloped as an adult. He's 35 and can't figure this shit out?
