This is pretty much my take as well... if nothing else he comes across as honest and genuine. That certainly doesn't mean that everything he says is the objective, Gospel truth... just that I never get any sense of deceit from him. Say whatever you like about his neckbeard, hippie shit... but just the fact that he doesn't dramawhore, spin and slapfight with other marginally popular YT shitheads is enough to keep me subscribed.

Granted, anybody who uploads 5 videos a day for years on end is going to have contradictions and gotcha moments just waiting for the long arm of autism to uncover... but whatever. I will say that I was a little disappointed in the laptop e-begging when not too long ago he was lamenting that he'd have to leave Vermont because he was making enough income where the local tax situation was becoming a nuisance... but he couldn't pony up $2k for a computer? Take the good with the bad I suppose.

He claims he got clobbered by a higher tax pill than he expected and then killed his laptop by accident. It could happen.

I suppose. For someone so dedicated to what they do it would be nice if he invested a bit more in learning about technology. Without it, he wouldn't have a career. It isn't the bane of his existence, it's the reason for his relevance. Though in direct contrast to what I just said, he did say multiple times that if he wasn't self-employed he would be a "hobo" so maybe he doesn't care.

I wasn't trying to accuse him of any shenanigans... I don't think he's rolling around on piles of cash while hordes of wiccan chicks massage him under his leather jacket... But.. he hits "webcam record", hits "webcam stop" and then hits "upload". Most functional adults, particularly any self-reliant off-the-grid libertarian types, should be able to meet those needs for a lot less than $2k with a lot less virtual panhandling. Like I said before, I like the guy and don't want to come across as wanting some bizarre purity testing for YT talking heads. It just struck me as somewhat counter to his overall vibe from his videos.

I keep hearing this, is it true?
I know she had some Brazilian kid or whatever on a stream that she agreed with that she said helps maker her stuff
Liked her before her stuff got political and kids can be edgy at that age or whatever but if she's just a fucking mouth piece by someone else that's pretty fucked up.

The problem with providing direct citations on her is that all of the info is spread across the shadman thread, the ralph thread, and the internet at large. Though for a readily available example, I would point to her performance on the killstream debate with Destiny. Beyond a few canned responses, she was woefully unable to get her points across and then insisted on pulling an anon who had been sitting in the green room into the call to argue on her behalf who then proceeded to push the same exact points she was trying to.
 
Yeah I enjoy the product of the work, but I am not convinced that a 14 year old is the one doing the work.

I certainly believe it could be real, but that gets low odds with the current information.
 
I know when I was 14 I had some political opinions and was able to articulate them pretty well, but these days I just have doubt on anything anybody younger than 18 say because people are so dumb.
