Realistically he could hide out for years, even decades. No one is actively going to bother coming to get him from a different state. Its really just random chance if he has a run in with the police or not. I got a speeding ticket in like 2010 and thats the last encounter I've had with police where I would have been checked for outstanding warrants. I've also left the country a few times too so maybe they checked then too I'm really not sure. But outside of traffic stops (does styx even drive?) and air travel, how often is a person ever really checked for warrants?

I’ve been out that way on vacation a few times. Rutland is a blight on an otherwise beautiful landscape. This I have a question about. The reason the police have the phone is because it is evidence in his case because he threw it at his girlfriend. It is the physical object used to commit the alleged abuse. There is no grounds to look for anything within the phone itself. Wouldn't the police need a valid reason or a warrant to go snooping around in the phone?
