I will not move heaven and earth to ensure I always have access to weed. I have lived all around the United States and a few other countries and I now choose to live in Rutland Vermont. I love the atmosphere, the small-town feel, and the close access to skiing. Most importantly, I have a job that is pretty fun & free. Living here also cuts the price of cannabis to virtually nothing. This is also a plus. If you have a vice and it costs significantly less in a certain location, that should be a consideration in where you live.

1. Styx got what he wanted. Nikki is out of his house.
2. Styx has gun charges hanging over his head. He probably doesn't want to provide both the police and prosecutors easy access to himself.
3. Styx's hands may not be completely clean or truthful in the hitting incident. If he talks to the police and/or prosecutor they might discover he committed some criminal activity in this incident. Hell, he just constructed an event to evict a rent paying tenant from his house.

My first priority here is finding a place to live and get my affairs in order. Then I will quit cigarettes. I only started to smoke them when I was with Tarl, so that should be easy to quit. But I'm not going to quit them right now. Telling someone that their number one priority when they are unhoused, having just experienced a traumatic event is tone deaf and retarded.

It's like saying "hey Jim, I know your mother just died and you have to clear out her home and settle her estate, but that shouldn't be your main priority. You need to quit smoking the free weed that you got from the backyard, Jimmy!"

If I did not pay any money for it, why do you want me to stop smoking it? If I want to stay in a state where it is virtually free why is that wrong? Are all substances wrong to you? Is anyone allowed to smoke weed in your twisted, cruel mind without being judged? Do you judge alcohol as harshly? What about caffeine addicts? Are they free from your judgment? Surely you judge people who use cannabis, ketamine, and psilocybin medically? What about all the cancer patients? Are they allowed to smoke weed? Do you judge my medical ID card invalid? I had one in Maryland.

I give up defending myself. This is the last I will write on it. If you want to judge me because I smoke weed, that's fine. I can't change your mind.

You have a good point about there being a right and a wrong time to swear off a vice. Just know that the room is evaluating your priorities as they decide whether or not to donate to your cause. I know that, unlike Sam, you don't think that one-way cash is your due.

To be fair, a lot of this thread is pointing at Tarl and accurately calling him an alcoholic. I'm not saying you should quit weed all together but weed does make you dumb even when you've built up a tolerance. Situation you're in now is pretty rough, at least from my perspective I think it would be wise to keep all your faculties together. Then again if you're going to lose your shit than smoking a little probably isn't the worst idea, just don't green out and do something retarded.

If you think you can quit cigs than absolutely do not start vaping. If you're smoking like 3 or 4 a day than it's not a big deal. Vaping will absolutely get you addicted to nicotine quicker than cigs will. Ignore my previous advice on that shit if you're not a heavy smoker.
