The date of the email doesn't matter, the date that does matter is the one associated with court motion I filed along with service receipts on 1/13/26, the papers you took photos of and uploaded reflect this.

I think I might be cautiously optimistic for you and your kids.

I did suggest to Sam that she might want to look into the various options in a previous post, suggesting:

Maybe United Counseling Service of Vermont https://www.ucsvt.org/ has some services for you. If you are on the verge of becoming homeless/indigent, and you dont have any friends left, and cant hack living in a car, you should probably see if there is a program there you could get help from.

You need to figure out how to get a case manager from one of these help places. a case manager helps with Medicaid enrollment, Disability (SSI/SSDI) applications, Housing referrals, Keeping appointments and Medication compliance. You might want to drop the energy drinks and weed if you want "the system" to care about you. Pathways Vermont https://www.pathwaysvermont.org is a another way to get at Vermont emergency housing programs. Emergency housing often requires proof of instability, which ER visits, 988 calls, or UCS intake provide.

I'm not a doctor, a welfare queen of benefits surfer, I've never not had a job so my hands on is limited, I have no debt (mortgage included), all cars paid off, etc. But I have done community service (handy man shit) a long time back in New Jersey and saw people in group homes and the like, so I've see resources that the states provide for people who are basically indigent. Its hard when you are nutty (BPD, etc), but if the subject, in this case Sam, can recognize she needs help and then get into some system where she can get a mood stabilizer, lamotrigine/lamictal and or lithium, plus DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy). Normally parents/family/close friends would help setup stuff like this, but she is more or less broke and alone (especially if KF is her "friend"), probably cant hold a job and needs expensive therapy and some meds and really, really needs to cut out the weed and drinking if there is any. Weed usage with mood disorders is really a bad idea. Anyways, she could be a temporary ward of the state if she can get off the weed and behave herself and not try and bit the hands of case workers.

I dont know if she is fixable, there is tons of shit in her past that broke her, and she got emotionally fucked in the head by Tard and she has alienated her partner in parenting, so I'd add an attachment disorder in with the mood problems.

If she wants to get clean without drugs and therapy, lots of clean living, good food, exercise and sunlight I guess. Tard is a disease and a black hole of despair looking to pull in orbiters - he should be avoided, but he is desperately spiraling so he will try to pull her back in. Obviously he cant help himself let along help her in any meaningful way.
