That's because that subset of people who get hooked on opioids get a real second wind on them and tend to get a lot of shit done while on it. There's this theory that their dopamine reward system is lacking from birth.

I know that it's a matter of vulnerable people self medicating.. some people can handle their drugs, and some people were born schizophrenic. I hate the weed causes schizophrenia BS.

I've seen an Adderal/Adderal XR person go off the rails too. One minute they are in the FAANG/Magnificent8, the next they are running a driveway paver sealer operation, the next they have stolen 100k from the paver-sealer company and skipped out on 50,000 in job deposits, threw out their live in girlfriend (who was just a nice girl next door, why would you get rid of that?) and skipped town to another state to start the paver sealing operation up again and start screwing people out of money over there.
I think he threw out the girl because on the Adderall he didnt want to screw anymore so she became baggage.

Weed just makes me feel very, very mentally dull. Maybe that's idiosyncratic, but if not, weed is highly overrated; there is no continuity to thoughts. (Maybe that explains Non Sequitur Sam)

When I worked with psychiatrists in mental health settings, they - almost all of them, in spite of their pill-pushing ways - said that most stimulant and opiate addicts would have NO trouble with motivation or executive function if they worked out every day; addicts are layabouts to begin with.

With fake food, social media and high-powered video games, society just threw gasoline on the broadening problem of addiction.

Weed always made me feel terrible,... I never felt comfortable smoking it with people. Glad it never became a habit. I've always thought people who use drugs make it their whole identity to be fuckin dumb; pot smokers overwhelmingly do this, and it's annoying. Like the street artist I knew. Why do meth users almost always become gay? Stimulants, I love though. I can sleep on stimulants, never pot. Though I stopped doing drugs altogether like a decade ago, mostly because throwing money at a product that doesn't even have what I want in it is bullshit and I've grown to hate most drug users anyways. also known as. I grew the fuck up and started saving money.
