That's what I like about Sekhmet666. She does know, she's had it just as hard, if not harder than Samantha, but she just owns up to her baggage and doesn't make excuses for it. I was working late nights, and it was summer, so I had the window open. The house next door had been vacant for several years, didn't even had a "for sale" sign in the yard. It had been broken into a few times over the years and was becoming an atteactive nuisance for squatters and neighborhood kids.
Unbeknownst to me, somebody had bought the house, and they had put a big dog in the yard (tbqh, the yard was the best thing about the place). I was laying in bed and heard heavy footsteps prowling outside the windows very close to my house, so I got my gun. When I racked the slide, it startled the dog and it started barking. Scared me more than the dog, tbh; i wouldn't have enjoyed explaining to the cops why I shot my new neighbor's dog.

Okay... we're looking at some serious cognitive decline here. Whatever else you want to say about Tarl, he was pretty bright a decade ago but these mad cards are the kind of CrAzY nOnSeNsE that a cheap imitator of his might have produced when he was at his height trying to leech off his success. Watching these is like seeing a person with a brain parasite. Up to now I thought he'd be able to right his ship (pun intended) if he could just put down the bottle but now I wonder if that's even possible, like if he was forced to get sober in prison he'd come back unable to do basic math.

There's a woman I know who reminds me a lot of Sam. Plightspergs endlessly, father of her kid has custody, every single male who enters and exits her life has apparently abused her in some way even though several of them have managed to obtain restraining orders against her, talks at length about how awful her family is (even though they have let her sleep on their couches over and over), mysteriously has no friends despite being in her thirties.
One day I was discussing this with her sister who said "it's like she has this need to make everyone around her as miserable as she is."
And that's the thing, a lot of folks are really generous and they'll give you a hand when you're in a bad spot.
I'm endlessly grateful to a few different people who helped me out in my twenties even though they weren't even related to me. One of those people even includes an ex after a bad relationship with someone else left me in a bad spot (sound familiar?). He just connected me with a female friend who could give me somewhere to stay and a job opportunity, but he definitely didn't have to do that and I didn't ask. I took the help and got back on my feet as quickly as I could and have done my best to pay it forward.
But there's going through a rough patch, and then there's being an energy vampire. Surprise, nobody wants to be around someone who's negative and miserable all the fucking time. Nobody wants to help someone who feels entitled to their generosity. Nobody wants to deal with someone who is completely unwilling to power through even the most minor annoyances. Energy vampire is the most apt comparison, being in proximity to that shit will drain you fast.
Sam's leaked texts were revealing not just because of what they say about her parenting, but because of how much she bitches all. The goddamn. Time. About everything. The sound of cars and children in the neighborhood, neighbors staying up late once. She suffers more than anybody and her problems are insurmountable because nobody else has ever had to sit up all night with a sick kid, nobody else has ever had an unhappy childhood. It's a real mystery why she's made it to her thirties without building a support network of people who would be willing to help her out. And why oh why are men so evil??
